This maybe should go to Gear Swap, but I figure it could start here as a discussion of the technical details of smuggling retail merchandise into the EU.
I will be coming to Europe this winter. I have a huge, I mean ridiculously large ski bag. So when I read about all these Euro-mags paying big sums to get skis shipped across the Atlantic, it makes me think there has to be a better way. Maybe I can "mule" some Praxii over there this February. It seems like even if they charge me for excess baggage or weight limit violations, it would still be way cheaper than shipping costs. And, "No, Mr. Customs Official, I always travel with five pairs of unmounted skis still in the plastic. I am a professional freeskier. Don't you know anything?"
Any suggestions? Interested parties? I would probably need to charge any takers at least one night at your local coke-disco with a rental car and a suitcase full of rip-off Gucci swimwear. Cause hey, that ski bag shouldn't come home empty either.
