going rate for binder mount in SLC?

I'll be SLC in early Dec and I'm wondering what the average shop charges for a binder mount.

I moved to NC about 2 yrs ago and this is the first time I've had to deal with the local shops out here and these bastages want $75 for a binder mount. I lived in Bozeman for yrs and the bros at PhD always did my mounts for a six pack of kind beer. $75???? Unfukkin' believable!

I'm just gonna have it done in SLC when I get there. Last time (& only time) I tried mounting binders myself (sans jig, yeah I know it was stoopid) I screwed em up bad.

Does Level Nine do good work?

levelninesports in sugarhouse will mount Look and Tyrolia for $30. If you buy the bindings there, its $15. If you buy boots and bindings or skis and bindings, the mount is free.

You could also probably get a SLC mag to do it for a sixer or something. You save money, drink beer, and get to meet a fellow mag. Sounds better than taking it to a shop.

I've got a case of booklegged beer going to the deep powder house (alta) to mount two sets of fks 185s on my Blowers & ANTs. I trust those guys when it comes to mounting those bindings, because they have do it by hand because all the jigs for those bindings are too narrow. It is great when I can just give the guys at DPH a couple/few good beers to fix some core shots as well.

$75 to mount bindings???? You are being ripped off, but NC does not have much to offer in option for ski shops.
Always charging it in honor of Flyin' Ryan Hawks.
