    Alaska - TR

Coming up in a months time...
I am heading off to Alaska next week until the end of May to do a bit of skiing. I hope to have some good photos to show you when I get back.
So far the plan is to spend a couple of days helisking and then to find a bush plane and get dropped off on a glacier in the Wrangell's with four weeks worth of food and fuel, in the midst of some awsome, unskied slopes. And then to spend the next four weeks climbing and skiing.
If anyone has any advice about where to find information about unskied descents, or unclimbed mountains please let me know, it is the one thing that we are having a bit of difficulty finding out at the minute.
    Cheers
    Phil

Note to self... Set calendar and check back here in exactly one month.

    Sounds like a kick-ass trip.

    Coincidence.

I just posted a Wrangell TR.

Fly in with Paul Claus of Ultima Thule. He is the ONLY one that has a permit to land in the Wrangells. Good guy, hell of a climber and pilot.

He can point you in the right direction and then get you there.

I don't think University Peak has been skied from the summit. But the south face itself has been skied. You will probably be there too late to get on it. There is sooooooooooo much unskied shiz up there. Even if it's not, you will feel completely alone, trust me.

    Have fun and be safe.

Phil, I used to just be jealous of you, but now I'm pretty sure I hate you.

Be careful out there...can't wait to see the TR.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Just passing through the laundrette, showers, internet cafe in Palmer after a stay up at the top of the Powell Glacier in the Chugatch. I think that we have climbed 3 unclimbed peaks and skied 9 new descents so far.
Pics and more details when I get back to cham
