People talk about mountain biking and about world news, politics and even post naked pictures of hot women. More ways for the people here to interact and bond. Nothing wrong with that. Open the threads that interest you, ignore the others. You cannot say that some of the "off-topic" threads don't interest you. Not truthfully.
