    Washingtonians: Long Range Weather Forecast?

I seem to recall a Washington forecast that was unusually long range and more or less functionally accurate (some kind of weather nerd blog?), can anybody dredge up that link?

    Thankee.

The one with skiing where weather is important, eg: the state.

    LB - Define long range?

There's the forecasters discussion that the NWS publish but that's only for likely trends and computer modelling solutions beyond the normal weeklong forecast.

Anything more than that is almost pure speculation.

I recall something that had a ~2 or 3 week timeframe? Yes, I understand the speculative nature of weather forecasts, especially that far out.

    maybe.

    NWS forecaster discussion for today

Anything further out than this and you'd probably be better off cutting a ground hog in half and counting the rings.

lemon boy, depends which part of Washington you're looking for. For the Idaho panhandle & Fernie area we use this one alot http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_foreca...id=otx&pil=afd

Lots and Lots of cold Powder... ie Cold Smoke. Snow in Seattle means super light pow in the mountains. And I say we have a couple days like last year... ie champange powder. The snow will come and once it does it's time to rip the PNW.
