    Colts = Cheaters???

As a Pats fan I should shut my mouth and be happy about escaping the day having beat both the Colts and the officials, however this is simply too fucked up not to notice. I thought I heard this as it happened and paused thinking that the crowd noise sounded weird, now here it is again and near the end of the clip you can hear the crowd noise skip:

    http://www.profootballtalk.com/Moss_Catch_Audio.mp3

Since the audio of the play-by-play guys was not disturbed, the digital skipping of the crowd noise has to be from the source, which one might go so far as to say could be the PA system at the stadium. This sounds just like my computer when I have music playing and I shut the cover, it plays for a second and then basically skips before turning off as the computer goes into sleep mode.

I remember a few teams being busted pumping in fake crowd noise at home games in the past and on the grand scheme of things it isn't really that horrible a thing....HOWEVER with the entire world jumping on the Pats after the camera-gate thing and acting like Belichick was clubing baby seals on the sideline while sodomizing mother Theresa people need to realize that this shit happens every day in every game. Temas do stupid shit to gain slim bits of percieved advantage.

    Discuss.

Yeah, sounds like it was being pumped through due to the extreme obvious skipping.

P.S. some of the worse officiating ever.

i remember hearing that and wondering what the fuck was going on. i hope thats what happened, but they have different mikes for the announcers and different mikes for teh stands, so who knows.

it's funny how the announcers were analyzing how smart and useful the indy fans were, like do they have fan police or something, hardcore fans that go around and quiet drunken idiots when the colts are on offense. i can't wait to fuck them up in snowy foxboro.

My wife looked over at me when that happened and said," WTF is that? It sounds like Whip-its."

That is really the only way to describe it.

haha, that does sound like whipits. funny shit.

hopefully everyone will make a big deal about this and it will tarnish dungy and seyton's squeeky clean images.

should the pats ask for 2007 superbowl rings now?

Yeah, probably just a hitch somewhere between the mics that get the crowd noise and the production equipment. This is a non-story.

Yes, but they need to play for the record.

Right. Just like the Colts were going to take it tonight, as well as the sox lose to the Rookies, and before that Cleveland, and I wasn't paying attention to you before New York got pwnd. So.. you pretty much suck and should stop posting about sports teams because your anti-New England bias is deluding your opinions.

Blow me, this has nothing to do with an "anti-New England bias." Even if they were pumping crowd noise, big deal... like someone said, everyone does this shit.
Wow, my comment wasn't even anti-new england.......

not with video equipment though...but who cares, the pats probably weren't getting a huge advantage from that.

I heard that and thought it was weird; we had DVR'd the game so I thought that might be the cause..

Terrible officiating indeed; makes the win that much more impressive.

That was the worst officiating I've seen in years, it got to a point in the bar I was at that Colts fans started rooting for the Pats. Aweful....but it didn't matter in the end.

I watched the game from the flight operations centre of the USS RONNIE. Way cool.

    And yeah, shitty officiating.

hahaha. I love all the bitching from Pats fans. There were a few obvious no calls on the Pats as well, allow me to remind you. I distinctly remember a 3rd down scramble by Brady where #90 of the Colts is in position to turn around and stop him a couple of yards shy of the sticks, who was CLEARLY held by the LT.

Long story short, even if the officiating was bad, you were still lucky to get out with a win. Had Indy not given up on scoring and resorted to playing the clock so early in the fourth you would be 8-1 right now. Evidence of that is when Belichick, the man who is ALWAYS disappointed started jumping up and down celebrating like a little girl when the game was over.

Either way, it was a nice preview to the AFC Championship game.

Oh, and the messed up crowd noise could just as simply been a messed up crowd mic or system crash in the production booth as it could have been fake crowd noise. Though I suppose that wouldn't really surprise me either.

You people bitching about the officiating must have been wearing blinders or don't know the actual outcome of the game. Or were listening to Simms to much. I'm surprised that guy could talk with Brady's and Moss's dick in his mouth the whole game.

So we can't complain about blatantly bad calls on the Pats and the 140+ yards of penalties as a result? Yes they won, we are psyched, but some of those calls were 100% wrong. I defy anyone to justify the following:

    1. Dallas Clark molesting Pats safety Rodney Harrison in the end zone on a ball Harrison might have been able to intercept. No call.

    2. Asante Samuel getting flagged for interfering with Colts receiver Anthony Gonzalez on a ball that was simply not catchable.

    3. Ellis Hobbs getting flagged for pass interference after Reggie Wayne literally tackled him.

4 The wost and potentially most destructive call was in the 4th when Brady tried to hit Moss in the end zone for a TD despite the fact that the defender was literally holding his hand as Moss jumped for the ball. Nothing even resembling offensive pass interference occured here, it should have been a non-call.

Again, the won, super, but the win was made that more impressive by the fact that the officials did everything but taser the Pats.

    Cheaters never win.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

No one can stop Moss. He's too tall and fast. The fourth quarter was a clinic. Poor officiating and fake crowd noise had no bearing on Brady or Moss's sickness. The Pats may be unbeatable regardless of cheating.

You want some cheese to go with that whine? The Patriots won. Deal with it.
