Weighyt diff between trekkers/914 and the Duke?

So what is the weight of alpine wrekkers with sally 914's, compared to the weight of Dukes?

Any one measured the difference between the two?

Lou did, I just read it on his site recently... If I remember it was something like Sallys+Trekkers 53ish ounces, and Dukes 47 ounces. He posted it in the comments section of one of his duke blogs I think

So, between the two setups we're talking about a 6 oz difference, about 3 oz per foot? wow

All, I just noticed I hadn’t done the comparo of Duke with Trekker/binding.

Since alpine bindings vary quite a bit in weight, this is ballpark. My Trekker/Salomon combo weighs 53 ounces per binding, while the Duke weighs 47 ounces.

So there you go, the Duke should walk easier. Trekker combined with lighter weight alpine binding might be closer but will probably still weigh a bit more.
More like a 12 ounce difference, 6 ounces per foot. Those weights are per binder

6 per foot. You could break a pinky toe.

Weight savings might be negligible, but not having to carry trekkers in your pack when not in use is a hudge plus IMO.

The tourability of Dukes also far exceeds that of wrekkers. As someone who used 916s/trekkers on 138s most of last year, I can say that a non-traditional ski like the 138 or Praxis will tour much better with the increased rigidity of Dukes over trekkers.

B - I skied a few runs the other morning on my EP's with Dukes and even with a ski that doesn't belong on groomers and bindings that are meant to be able to tour, I was stoked. The Dukes ski just like a normal alpine binder.

I have large Dukes mounted on EPs and another pair soon to be on Praxis, so you are welcome to give them a test drive whenever.

Couldn't decide which sticks to put the first pair on, so I made the decision easy.
