Anyone out there have any experience with the Banshee Scream or the Transition Dirt Bag? I dented the frame of my Big Hit this weekend, and there are some stress crack near it, so i thought i better start looking at new frames.

Mildbill rides a Scream, he swears by it.
Transition's pretty new, but I've seen a couple write-ups on Ridemonkey and MTBR...you might try there.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.
my friend rides a transition. it pedals nice and is plush, but it sits too high for my liking (personal preference)Originally posted by bagtagley

smoke crack and worship satan
i wouldn't say i'm knowledgeable enough about bikes to swear by anything, but i frikkin love my scream. the best way to describe it is that it feels the way igneous skis feel. the perfect combination of supple, powerful, and burly--confidence inspiring. it's surprisingly trail-able and agile for a 50+ lb bike, probably due to the steepish geometry or something else i don't really know about. it's a little screwy with things like chainline and cable routing, but once that's dealt with it's a bomber ride. i've never really had it in wide open lift served type terrain, so i can't really comment on that, but i would guess that if you could deal with the weight and you got this bike you would be very pleased.Originally posted by bagtagley

i want to go ride it right now.
MildBill-Are you running Dual 26"s on there or do you have a 24? And do you have the older style Scream when it still had ther horizontal Dropouts?
24" on the rear.
horizontal dropouts, i run it with the shortest effective chainstay possible.
