Those MVP chants weren't quite as loud after he misplayed that ball in the 8th but it was nice to see he had an opportunity for some redemption. Not sure how he would have been able to live with himself all offseason if he hadn't. Great game all around though, should be a fun series to watch with the Phillies.

The single most exciting Rockies game I have ever, and probably will ever, see. I've watched just about every televised game the past two months, and the run that the Rocks put together is absolutely incredible.

Agreed....outstanding game. Safe or out? Does not really matter. I was in St. Louis when Dettinger made the famous "safe" call at first during the '85 series. Pads fans...we dealt with it...you will get over it .
Congrats Rocks...that was one hell of a game.
The safe call makes up for the "homerun" double earlier in the game. Padres manager was quoted as saying he looked safe but I think his comment has more to deal about sportsmanship than anything.

That was probably the most fun I've had in downtown D since the Avs won the Stanley Cup, too.
This weekend will be fun, Rockies baseball and Oktoberfest, all within a few blocks of each other. Watch the Rox win and then go drink even more.
last night was amazing, to see everyone on their feet cheering for the Rockies was great.
Reminded me a lot of the 95 Mariners. Those were the days. Too bad the Rockies can't play the Yanks first round.
