It's just damn tasty, isn't it? I like the kind with the fruit on the bottom you have to stir.

Yogurt cheese.
We make that often.
Sweet and Savory are both YUM.
Also, I love plain yogurt with honey and lemon or lime juice
Just say no to fruit on the bottom yogurt.
I like the pre-mixed myself with a dash of granola.
Plain yogi + ground freshly roasted cumin seeds + mulled mint + cucumbers = great side
Otherwise, vanilla for me.
I used to love Yoplait, but I have since discovered Dannon and it has better tangy yogurt taste. Now Yoplait tastes sickly sweet to me.
^^ Brown cow rules.
Brown Cow whole milk yogurt. I didn't care for the cream on the top, so I scraped that shit off, though.
fruit is for fruits!
I got myself one of these to satisfy my daily yogurt cravings:

So far (I've had it for about 2 months), I've been really happy with it: it makes really tasty plain yogurt. I've gotta try some of their fruit yogurt recipes soon
I usually have it plain, but lately I've started having 1 part yogurt, 1 part fresh blueberries and some maple syrup....
Stonyfield Farms. It comes from Cow Hampshire.
I used to be a Dannon guy, but they switched to high fructose corn syrup about 2 years ago. Now, my personal favorite is the A&P Brand "America's Choice" believe it or not.
And it is of the fruit on the bottem variety.
When on sale, I'll also rock some Stonyfield or Axelrode (sp??).
While I wouldn't buy it on my dime, a lot of hotels have a tasty yogurt on their breakfast menu... with the berries and the granola... mmmmm..
I am so glad someone has recognized this important and delicious food!
I am fond of brown cow farms maple yogurt. I also like cabot lemon yogurt. The only kind I don't like is the fruit on bottom stuff and Trix yogurt (yes, they make Trix yogurt!)
AG, how do you make yogurt cheese?
Sprite
Yogurt always reminds me of The Road To Wellville
We make yogurt cheese in place of mayo in a lot of things...dips, tuna or chicken salad sandwich (we actually just use plain yogurt, mustard and some cream cheese for that stuff), potato salad is also another great use of yogurt cheese and herbs.
Take a container of plain yogurt (we use low fat) pour into cheese cloth that is draped over a medium sized strainer and folded onto itself then set that on a bigger bowl so that the liquid from the yogurt drains into that bigger bowl. Set a tuperware full of water (or anything heavy) on top of the folded cheese cloth and yogurt and let sit in the fridge for 24 hours.
When you pull the cheese cloth open, you have this soft cheese like textured yogurt, it's awesome and way more healthy than regular cheese or mayo! If you wanted to make it a dip, add in your favorite mix, herbs, etc into the yogurt, then put that mixture into the cheese cloth and let it sit.
It really is SO easy.

whenever I see this thread, I think of one of my most enduringly favorite book quote/images (from Money):
Quote:
Then she knelt in front of him. One thing was clear: the cowboy must have spent at least six chaste months on a yoghurt ranch eating nothing but icecream and buttermilk, and with a watertight no-handjob clause in his contract. By the time he was through, Juanita looked like the patsy in the custard-pie joke, which I suppose is what she was. The camera proudly lingered as she spat and blinked and coughed....Hard to tell, really, who was the biggest loser in this complicated transaction - her, him, them, me.
You're a dirty boy!
(we like that here)

Once you've tried it everything else is a distant second. Beware, though: 8% MF!
Stolen from their web site:
Happiness Is Creamy...
This family, exclusive to Liberté has brought a whole new type of food lovers to yogurt. Méditerranée is n° 1 amongst gourmets! Méditerranée yogurt is made with pure milk, without any type of sugar substitutes or gelatin in it. Despite its purity, it is amazingly thick and creamy but contains only 8.5% milk fat. Instead of using ice cream, why don't you succumb to a sin without guilt with the Méditerrannée family?
A wide range of delicacies :
There are twelve flavors in the Méditerranée family and they are all equally exquisite.
Plain:
All the smoothness of traditional yogurt the way it is served in Greek restaurants. Drop a little honey over it or use it for astounding cooking.
Vanilla:
The most delicate substitute to rich ice cream.
Moka:
Mix it well, all the coffee flavor is on the bottom. The delicious taste of a real café-crème without the excess fat…
Strawberry:
A field of Summer fruits in a velvety cream!
Mango and oranges:
Exotism and the delicate perfumes of sunny lands.
Plum and nuts:
An amazing delicacy, that could crown any meal.
Peach and passion fruit:
Sensuality in a velvety dress. Close your eyes and travel...
Fieldberries:
A tart and fresh taste directly from nature and your childhood memories.
Black cherry:
Opulent, textured, color and pleasure to share.
Lemon:
The freshness of citruses, its tangyness on the tongue in an voluptuous cream. Almost a lemon meringue pie without the calories.
French hazelnut:
Sophisticated and unique, a subtle combination of flavors for the most discriminating palate.
Dulce de Leche:
A wonderful treat inspired by a South American dessert, milk caramel yogurt. Yummy!
