Over the years, I've radared maggots at more than 60MPH riding everything from XXX's to Atomic BetaRides.
Heck, we even clocked Rotney at 76MPH one fine morning on Pocket Rockets.
What have been your most stable skis at highway speeds?

Without a doubt 190 Pow +.
Ford F-150
Rossignol B-Squad.... hang on to yer hat!
188 Volkl Ax4s is the one Ive felt most comfortable haulin ass with.
But my Mantras is not that bad either. Been hammering downhill slopes this weekend going scary fast, and I felt confident in them :)
for me probably fujatives.....
in reality my 185 scratch bc's feel really good
jayfrizzo's mom.
188 g4s. damn i miss those skis.
190 Igneous FFF
They feel more and more stable the faster you go.
Bro 188 Supa Stiff, took em out for a run 2 days ago. The schooled my arse at slow speeds, but putting 2 arcs where everyone else was puting 20-30 was sure fun.
ANTs and don't forget Yeti (I think) at last years radar shoot at 70+ on spats!
#1-Igneous SMF 195
#2-Rossignol Axiom 183
190 volkl exploder
190 w105/9.1ff
195 db surreal flex 3
spatula
bro stiffs are pretty happy at speed. m103's can handle a good clip as well.
nothing likes speed like my 215 elan super g skis
193 iM 103s...I'm still trying to get them up to an unsafe speed...so far no luck
Original Stockli Stomrider, Dominque Perrot signature model. 204 cm, 74 mm waist, triple layer titanal, and no discernible speed limit in any condition.
where'd you get the radar gun?
I'll presume the Blizzard Titan Pro is quite high on the list as well...
Alas the local molehills ain't excactly the best place to test skis for topspeeds or stability at speed :shrugs:.
snowblades... without poles of course
ANTs...
or old school 215 dynastar GS skis.
Not sure where Endless got his, but Bushnell makes one that you can find for $50-80 on ebay and other places. At a Radio Shack going out of business sale in SLC, they were going for $29.95. Got there too late to get mine though.
My Bizzard Titan 8.2 from 2-3 years ago have made the GPS register a maximum speed in the high 70's. Probably could do more if I was trying.
The original superstiff brototype.
When I tried them they felt like a smooth high-speed bullet train ride.
Atomic heli-guide 200cm, and Iggy FFL 200cm. Almost the same ski stability wise.
The both of these make ANTS feel like wet noodles.
We used to ski on 223 downhill boards too, those are fun.
200 cm Hart Outbacks
Big Bros are my 2nd. If they're not all torn up and can still be tuned to do it I'd like to try 'em for radar day.
190 xploders
189 Nitro carving board.
I like my Bandits at high speed. But that's all I have.
183 Sugar Daddies...cause I have no HUGE skis YET.

I've still got them if anybody think's they're man enough and wants to make me an offer. They are in excellent shape and were never abused. I'm too old and they scare me now. I believe they are the same model that Perot used to set the world vertical record of 353,000+ feet in 14 hours, and I think he also used them to set a old world cliff jump record of 125 ft. There is a great video of him sitting on the pontoon of ski plane as it lands while he causally steps off and skis away at 80 mph. and then does the same thing in reverse at the end of the movie and flys away. Like I said, they have no speed limit. If you want to ski crud at 50 mph these are the tool for the job.
It's a Bushnell. I bought it a few years ago for the express purpose of finding out just how fast some of us were skiing.
I had always said that beginning to intermediate skiers overestimate their real speeds, but experts tend to underestimate theirs. I wanted to test my theory so I bought it (with a little help from some of the maggots cuz it was hundreds of dollars back then) and we've been doing an annual radar speed trap day in April ever since. This year will be the 5th anniversary of the event.
It's amazing how easily one can reach 60+ MPH with the right conditions and skis.
195 FGS's
edit: 270 flex (Z?)
heh...yeah perot totally rips http://images.google.com/images?q=tb...40/perot2.JPEG
FUCKING ROSS DUDE!
anyhow, the most stable skis i have ever been on:
190 pow + (now robokills) - beat you up at less than mach looney
190 FFF #240 (now safety squad) turnable at low speed, but i never got them going too fast...
200 FFL #260 (now gamma) - most stable ski ever. litteally a super g ski fat ski
195 FGS #270 (now good4nothing) - mid fat super g ski
I concur--I demoed a pair in 2000 in La Grave and immediately bought them. I still have a mint pair of the more manageable 198s if anyone's interested. Funny how these used to be considered mid-fats...
I also second the bros, the iggies and of course the W105. I skied my 105s for days in hard snow aspen conditions with a pretty fast crew and never had a problem.
