-15 in Jackson right now with a high of -1 today with no new snow, fuck it, I'm going back to bed!
does it make me a wimp that i don't want to ski when the temps are so low?

-21 at my house in Laurel right now and the wind chill says it is -40!!!! A tad warmer....-12 at Rock Dodge, think we will head up anyway.
Last time that I skied in stuff that cold, I literally got a headache....almost a "sickness" type feeling.

I think I chipped one of my nipples in the bitterroots this morning.

-14 at my house this morning with 15 mph winds. Both pipes under the kitchen sink froze even with heat tape and a portable heater under there, had to crawl down under the house with the old lady's new super powered hair dryer. Finally got the hot water side running again before it burst, left the house with the cold side still frozen, I replaced that side with Tuftex last summer so it ain't supposed to break.
Dog is getting cabin/condo fever but it might not do her much good to let her go far :(
its warming up in zoola. we're at a pleasant 0 F.
High of 17 in Tahoe today and thats fucking cold for here.

cant really predict. we get cold snaps now and then, and when it's cold, it's really fucking cold. we usually have a mid feb thaw, so who knows it could be 50 deg above or 50 deg below zero.Quote:

some of the best riding i've ever done was 3 years ago in jackson hole-temperature at the top of the tram -35 wiht a wind chill of about -50 to -60. i remember that well, and i think the temp at the base was something like -5 to -10 for a high

-15 F without windchill in the Missoula backcountry this morning when we pulled in to unload the sleds. 1 mile later my buddies nose was bone white. Luckily I had fashioned a nose protector from a 6 pack box. Once up top temps were in the teens :D.

got a bb review from a buddy last night sayin it was surprisingly good skiin
