Nice!
Give a big hand to biglines for stepping up the content this year. Tons of interviews and new product views from SIA, Contest Video and Results and a great place to host pics.
Man, I've seen MD9, PowHo and phUnkstar all ski sicker stuff than that at some point or another. Rise up, y'all!
Wow. Did they have kickers in the trees? Kickers with cannons? Roman Maitre looks like he's just hit some video game power up right before that second hit...
Romain Maitre is my new hero, all I have to say is wow!!:D
Freaking huge backies, in a lot of terrain.

edit: did he lose a ski, or is that one of them optimical illushuns?
I don't know who's jaw hit the office floor first; mine or Harpo's.
OMG!!
Sick!!
And way to go Ben!!!
Also, huge props to Biglines for stepping up way big this year with great footy of the comp - all the way through it; not Snowbird, Freeskiers.org or even MSI even came close to the coverage these guys gave us - and their from Canada. Pretty damn sad when someone from our own great US of A can't step up and cover it like Biglines. Again though, a big phat thank you to Biglines. Keep it up guys!!
that first vid is unfackinbelievable
MORE!!!!
gotta love the commentary in those vids.

Rick Greener lost a ski on takeoff, then proceeded to throw a lincoln loop. I'm still not sure if it was intentional or not, but he got it around to his feet.Quote:

Speaking of frenchies that rip, is Guerlain Chicerit competing this year?
Salt in the wounds. You have no idea how bad I wanted to ski. I sat in the snow and wind for hours praying for it to break. I think I was the last guy sitting at the bottom of the venue the day before finals. I got a cold waiting there. It sucked. The snow was so ready go and we'd built some pretty nice hits and scoped some monster rocks. Probably the most frustrating 3 days of my life.
Blue balls just means you'll be molesting that bitch doubly hard next time.
He heard meatdrink9 was bringing his A-game and Poop Bazooka.Quote:

He didn't want any part of any of that.
yeah what pnr said....besides, aren't you competing this Saturday at Snowmass? Unleash the fury!!!!
I'm going to wait a week and hit the comp on the 21st. The 14th is Valentines day and I just got back from being away for 9 days. I've got to hang around a little more this week. I'm a sissy.
Damnit ROmaine is smooth, those backs are large and in charge.Quote:

The commentary in that first one is hilariously retarded - "That was a big backflip eh". Don't think he realized the sound was on.
I'm just lovin how Maitre treated that run like a Slopestyle comp.
i liked it when they all though manu was a girl. "she totaly stuck it" came out of the background.... "its a he".....
I saw all of the runs Friday. Romaine's run was so hands down unfreakingbelieveable that there wasn't even a close second. Everyone who witnessed it knew they had seen something on a whole new level. I have slow dialup so I dont know what video is on here but I'm sure this video doesn't come close to showing how huge he really went. His last one was well over 120 feet.
wrong thread ;)Quote:

that is a fucking amaizing line. i have to say though i am kinda surprised that more tricks aren't thrown...
That guy commentating made me feel like i was in a porno.....
He also said that Maitre won it all last year, but i thought that was Gaidet??
Dammmmnnnnn....I should probably just quit skiing and work on my needlepoint.
Uhhhhhh......noQuote:

...idiot...
Uhhhhh.......yeah. I estimated it at 120, but it's in the newspaper as 160 feet. (BTW, that's the take-off point to landing point).Quote:

Irregardless as to whose numbers are correct, that was one sick fuckin' run. Never seen anything like it. Too bad that was the one day I DIDN'T watch. The wife wanted to ski.. so...
The biggest air any competitors took couldn't have been more than 60. The lawn dart thrown by the forerunner, yes, the forerunner, was probably more like 80 to 100 vertical feet, as well as many feet in the horizontal. Few people saw it since he went at 9 AM, but the bombhole was distinct.
60 - 70 looks about right for that last air in the winning run, regardless it was one of the smoothest and burliest runs to to bottom I've ever seen....FKNA!
Strong...to quite strong.
Arguing numbers is stupid. It was big, it was fast, it was smooth, and it makes me want to be out there.
