Oddly stacked links

Since last night, every page on the TGR website has had a very strange format. The green bar which has had the roll up menus is there, except there are fourteen bars stacked on top of each other, so that I have to scroll down more than a whole screen to read the page I've opened. Also, instead of the roll up menus, the links to the various locations of the site are stacked vertically in a single column.

I don't think I've changed any of the settings on my computer which would yield such a display, but who knows........

Is anyone else experiencing this? I didn't see any mention of it in the Ask TGR forum, and I thought it a viable query. :confused:

I think that the webguy said they were doing so work on the site late night, so it was probably just a glitch?

I think I know what's happening: Internet Explorer works fine, but firefox looks like this:

I can see where that might be annoying.

Even though it doesn't happen on my computer.

Webguy says quick reply works, but doesn't refresh your browser. I am trying it out.

It worked great and refreshed my browser (Internet Explorer), too. As always - doesn't happen on my computer.

I run firefox and it just stalls with the quick reply box and doesn't take me to the page nor does the page ultimately show my 5 efforts at getting it to post.

GAAAACCKKK once again so copy and paste to 'post reply', doesn't help when I use the icon either.

Wait maybe I have to use the quick reply icon to activate it. That's new isn't it?

As of NOW it's fixed in Firefox (you guys working late?).

Nope still ain't fixed for me 1.5.0.7

Hmmmm......I have IE and it is still doing it on my computer (no problem at work). It doesn't quite look like the firefox example though, the links are in a column like that, but no overlapping with the post, and there are 14 of the green bars above every page I open in the forums. My computer has "issues". :(

I emailed our web guys. Hopefully they'll see this thread this morning.

I don't have the other issue just that quick post doesn't work. Not that it's the end of the world if it doesn't work for a certain browser type, I can still use the other way.

The funny thing is when I try to post via quick link it still freezes me out for the 45 seconds before I can do it the regular way even though no post goes though.

Are you seeing the javascript updating dialog under your "Post Quick Reply" button?

I get safari problems with quick post. Sometimes it posts without doing the refresh so you can't see that your post has gone through.

I get the little arrows going in circles thing for a few seconds then that dissappears and nothing happens. I can do it multiple times and only get a post when I use the 'post reply'. Funny thing is that double post above from when I went back and edited to add a comment.

Ok that time I got a double post so I'll try quick and see what happens.

Ok so now I seem to post and just not refresh the page, that's not what was happening earlier but at any rate it can work.

This last time I refreshed as well. Very odd really.

Looks like "Oddly Stacked Links" are a result of an incomplete css file download. It can be solved by clearing one's cache.

Hmmm.....I must have done what it took to fix it unknowingly. If you are referring to the temporary internet files cache, I douche that regularly (cookies too), every day really, but no matter, the links are no longer oddly stacked, the 13 extra green bars are gone, and all is right with my TGR world.

Thanks for the effort of looking into it though.
