Foggy, your math is wrong....... 18" divided by 2" is 9, so 9 times in the last day.
Just decided. school is skipped tomorrow
Oh, I thought it said 18 for 24. Please don't judge me by your own shortcomings.Quote:

well 1" in the past 504 hours here....fucking assholes
haha, you guys are funny muthafuckas
Phone reports 18 inches in the last 24 hours and still snowing with 5 degrees at mid-mountain. A 7:00 call to MT confirms that the game is on. Line up at 8:30, the mob is already thick. MT of course has beat me again and is a few chairs ahead. Blue sky is trying to peak through but flakes continue to fall. Baseweldr and I shoot the shit about Florida in line. Then he somehow snakes up 5 chairs when the cluster begins to load, bastard
Hooting and hollering ensues at the shredders underneath the chair. Random shot from the lift:

A few lower mountain laps for a warm up. Bust out a hike to the Midways down into Bridger gully with LAD. LAD sticks an ugly air riddled with nastiness in the landing. Bridger Gully is deep, waist deep in some blown in spots. Down to the “Gaffney cliffs” (featured in the flick 1999). I take the technical straightline and LAD sticks the 20 footer clean

(sorry about the timing of the pic, rolling it up a little bit :D)
On to a half hike to Madmans with MT and the rest of the bunch. MT dropping to the deep:

Next stop, Three Bears. Billygoaters heaven, we all try to make the best of the manky, weedy, rocky mess that lurks below. MT and LAD straightline some stuff.
LAD rocking it (literally)

Last hike (my #3, MT’s 4th hike) is to Kaniels. Kaniels is a tricky high speed adrenaline alley.

Finding can be tough and not too many people hit it. Entrance is steep with no fall turns above the choke. Line up a quick 5 foot high speed drop which puts you at mach 3 for 100 feet on the ice, then you’re in the open at mach 6 flying through the foof. All 4 us stuck it clean, first tracks of the day.
10 minute to the final bell. I called it and headed for the bar. Pitchers quench the thirst. MT looking thug style:

1st run sluice down the gut, wind has been blowin and the low spots are holdin
2nd run high T- Bull Chute- the most mind replayed run of my ski life
3rd is another high T, noodle a bit through the deepness- south side thermo trees to lower nose
big lift line- hike time
4th run bitch lips to Bgully to pappa bear- so good but must suffer another liftline
5th run tight squeeze/nevernever- shortish but waist deep goodness right back to hike
6th was early O's down through bradley's bump area- a few chest deep turns as we passed by gapers flinging their meat and then searching... heh
7th was early Bgully down onto goldilocks traverse- a bit windfuct on that edge but still pleasant
one last 3bears down to low angle pow then had to go (grrr)- should be a good week of followin freshies
god I love deep snow
YEAH BABY!
A good day for sure, and it appears to be pounding up there right now as well. Base, you going to go up in the morning?
You freakin FREAK! Looks like one nice day. Good4You.
I got nothing else to do and no money to do it...
Sounds like a plan.
You guys suck, I'll be thinking of you in my nice warm cubicle while you are freezing your ass of getting face shots. Who would you rather be?
MT call Mountainman
Done and done.Quote:

Yeah, I'll admit it, I'm a little sensitive. I was with this woman and she laughed and said "Five inches?" when I dropped my pants.Quote:

And I said "What, that ain't wide enough?"
Website says 13" overnight. Every single billboard at bridger says 17". I'd lean closer to 17". Patroller said it was 4% :D That on top of whatever they got the day before stacks up to lotsa cold smoke
To my surprise, I received first chair at the powder park lift despite the 2 people who thought it was funny to run past me so that they could be 'first'. Do the mad rush to Bridger lift and see a guy loses his pole at the maze. Thinking of how i'd feel if this happend to me and decided to not learn karma be a bitch to me today and i picked it up for him. Snagged 3rd chair on Bridger still. 2nd person down Bronco. I somehow made it down despite the total of 3 seconds of visibility i had the whole time. I won't bore you with i went to this run and then to that run and the hit this to this. My day rocked and it ranks up in the top 3 days of my life.
Tomorrow shall continue to deliver and hopefully i shall have a digi in my hands tonight so that i can take pics of D route and NW passage when they open tomorrow!(that's assuming they actually open, who knows though)
Bore us man, because, well, it aint (boring, that is), and it's way more entertaining than work. Any stoke is good stoke and it's always fun hearing from the Montana collective.Quote:

Managed to sneak up there for three hours this morning before work. Spun two Ridge laps, and there was at least 17" up there. Got first tracks down the middle of B Gully, and then went back for more on the Apron. Like a total rookie, I left my digi cam in the truck last night and the batteries were dead when I tried to shoot some pics this morning. Saw Mountainman and LAD up there, and caught a glimpse of Base. Lots of cars down in the lot, but really not much of a crowd on the hill. I think that everybody must have driven up solo this morning.
Keep it coming Ullr man!!!!!
Nice pics Freak! Today was another great day for sure. Unfortunately, I spent a lot of it searching for buried skis (had some very unpleasant binding issues on two separate occasions). Like a retard, I didn't inspect my new setup after a warranty on my Head 103's. No forward pressure = lots of digging (cursing) in chest deep snow. Had to bail early for work as well. I should be up again on Wednesday doing the usual.
yesterday's 16 had 1.5" water, todays 17 had .4" water
oh my goodness today was a good one
walking to the lift just as the first chairs pull away I hear a brick of firecrackers goin off- that's kinda festive and a nice little echo to the real bombs rockin the ridge up top. A pretty full line for a monday but how quickly it disappeared. As I was behind the first wavers I opted to blast out to avy gulch for the high T but the first person was wallowing through the deepness so I had no choice but to dive in immediately- complete moling ensued and I could only catch glimpses of where I was and where I was going. The next time around high T was kicked in, breathing was difficult on that extended face shot down to flats, tuck it through headsup traverse and spin back up there for another. The liftline had all but disappeared by this time so we had to rally a few high speed pile shralpin lower mtn laps before hiking for the real goods. And they were really good those goods, so deep and so light. Went north went south went right back down. Made it around for one last high T and finished the day with the low angle sidestep up to Bucks to sop up the gravy, so pleasant is knee deep mellow tree skiing- lookin down at the wave coming off your shins, smiling. That was a good one, don't get much better... heard big sky got 1-3... the firecrackers? viper's Bday celebration, and a happy birthday it was...
Damn you guys, damn you damn you! Looks like you have some fun over there. The only thing I have time to go right now is my "home" resort. Ask MT or LAD, the pic is really taken from the top of the hill.

Ah yes, the infamous Salzwinkel.
He even got two packs lit of for him at different times:DQuote:
