But I will need your help. I am not here all the time so just pm me, I will delete as soon as possible.
I'm pissed at the village idiot myself - not having the particular event he spoiled and looking forward to it tonight.

Props!
I'm looking forward to all the censorship-related sanctimony.
But seriously, thanks Frozen.
well done
Amen.

Thanks, F! Another tool using an alias & it's creators oust themselves ~ priceless. :D
So how long 'til the bitching about "moderation" begins?
fz-please post the ip of the person that was using villiage idiot today. i'll be able to let you know exactly who it was then.:FIREdevil
c'mon, Do it! i guarantee no one will complain except the person trying to piss people off.:FIREdevil
How is it possible not to hear results until NBC manges to air the event at about 10pm? Unless you spend the day and evening in a deprivation tank, you'll find out I think. It's all over the raidio, probably on your home page, etc, etc. The UPS guy told me about it, whatever it is.
If anyone can actually not find out, I'm wicked jealous. Maybe some of you are lucky enough to actually be skiing today.
I second that motion!Quote:

It certainly isn't easy. For example Sunday morning I was getting ready to swim and some guy walked into the locker room and, totally unprompted, said "well today wasn't the Americans day in the downhill." I have no idea why people would do this kind of thing.Quote:

I don't see what the big deal is. A dick move to spoil it, sure, but some people need to unbunch their panties.
Oh the irony.Quote:

I think everyone should be watching the live feed anyway. Of course, we ALL can't do that so yes, the Villiage Idiot is an idiot.
All I get when I look into the admin mode of the board is a list of ip addresses. I can then find other users who have used this same ip addy.
This in no way lets me know who the offender was on a given post. The Village idiot seems to have quite a few ip addy's assigned to them though. So you guys fight it out.
Actually, Arty, look at "All posts made by Villiage Idiot"Quote:

You can tell it bothers him that he's getting a taste of his own medicine now.
It was wrong to piss off a bunch of people with the Bode thread, though. For that, I apologize.
share aliai are so 2002......
Fuck you and your lame fucking apology.
Can't we get rid of him now?
And it takes some work, but you can avoid hearing results.
I like this thread considering that the men's downhill was spoiled for me
Agreed Village Idiot is a fucking idiot. At first he just posted somewhat funny little quips here and there, lately it's some dude afraid to use his real name almost exclusively writing bullshit.
What does this mean?Quote:

The latter. There were much easier ways to troll for the previous abuser of this alias, but I wasn't smart enough to figure out how.Quote:

This brings up an interesting question. Multiple Personality Disorder is when one person thinks he or she is several people. So what do you call it when several people think they're one? :DQuote:

I don't actually even own a TV so don't care too much, but just curious.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Just the posts disclosing who won in the title, or posting the results in a thread with no warning in the title. Kindof like the NSFW rule.Quote:

Maybe because I've never done it myself, but I think using an alias is chicken shit!
Thanks F.
You are definitely not wrong--I just was hot having had now two events spoiled by a) bad posts; b) my own stupidity for reading said posts.Quote:

I deleted my thread because it was, as stated above, an overreaction.
I have to add though that a function of this board is that when scrolling over the thread title, the text of the thread is revealed. So an inadvertent "scroll over" where the thread author has taken steps to advertise that results are in the thread may still reveal the results.
I posted this in another thread, but honestly everyone... if you really care so fucking much about not having the events spoiled, and you're going to great lengths to not find out (telling people to stop talking about the olympics, turning off the radio/tv, going on a crazy killing spree on skis inspired by the biathlon, etc) then just don't check the board. It's really that simple. This is a ski board, it's not out of the realm of imagination or possibility that perhaps some inconsiderate person may have posted the results. If you're willing to leave the room when someone starts talking olympics, you should be willing to forego the board for one day. It's really not that hard.
The only person I have any sympathy for is frozen, because it is actually his job to check the board. So please, everyone, think of frozenwater before you post. Because everytime you masturbate, frozen kills a baby duck. Or something. ;)
BODE TAKES FIFTH!!!!!!!!!!
and drinks it.
this thread must now be deleted.
Although this is true, Sam, there's such a thing as common courtesy and posting the results in a thread title goes waay against this.Quote:

And these are the same people who go on and on about personal responsibility. I have only seen one person say that they are angry because someone posted it and they were dumb enough to look. Everyone else is just angry because someone was inconsiderate enough to post it.
Apropriately labeled titles (i.e. spoiler alert) should remain IMO. otherwise I suport it.
Whatever happened to outing all the trolls? It'd be funny. And not like Olympic spoiler funny. I really want to know who Squawman is.
