I'll be looking for a ride to Whistler Wednesday evening from wherever I'm skiing that day.
Also looking for rides to Seattle area ski resorts monday, tuesday, and wednesday.
Would like to see a bit of downtown Seattle monday or tuesday night.
Sunday night I arrive at Seatac at midnight. I'll probably hit one of the airport hotels if anyone is getting in at a similar time and would like to share a room.
I'm willing to rent a car if there's a need for it and others are interested in going in on it.
R-
I can get you a room at the Sea Tac Marriott for cheap. Could also play tour guide in downtown, but unfortunately I can't get any time off work for weekday skiing. Definitely be in WB on the last weekend. If you need a ride back from WB, we may have a suburban available for a Sunday night ride to Seattle.
Smerham and S99 I'm a Euromag considering joining this skifest. If so would fly in/out of Seattle (much cheaper than Van) arr about 1-2 Mar, leave around Monday 13. Biggest travel problem would probably getting back from WB to Seattle so a Sunday night ride would be v helpful - can I be considered? Let you know as soon as decision made on pulling trigger for travel. Costs/beer contribution go without saying.
Dodger!!!
woot woot
We can likely give you a ride back Sunday. Send me a pm with your e-mail. Also, nice to see you round here! You should definitely come...
I'm flying into either Bellingham or Vancouver on Thursday 9th and renting a vehicle. Will leave W/B on Sunday, but I don't yet know at what time. Can give rides as room permits.
Dodger, you bugger! It'll be good to see you again!
If you (or S99 or Shmerham) have space Mrs Mullet and I are going to be trying to get from W/B - Seattle at the same time. We'd be very grateful!Quote:

Cheers,
Mullet / Al
edit because I confuse myself too easily with dates. :)
Mullet - I might be able to put you guys up at Crystal over the weekend.
It'll depend how many people we'll already have staying with us.
Let me know if it would help.
I'll most likely have room available at my house (subject to wife approval :)) I'm probably going up to W/B Friday the 10th and returning after skiing the 12th. I probably won't take any weekdays off to ski in Washington, but will be in town, so accommodations are possible.
i hope to pull the trigger this weekend, if so i will be needing space/rides with whomever.Quote:

Cheaper? Really? I saw today I can fly to London return for $399cdn (plus the usual taxes, security fees, airport improvement fees, etc). That's from Vancouver or maybe Abbotsford (1hr east of Vancouver).Quote:

This was at a travel agent called www.flightcentre.ca (they have an office in Langley) but the buggers may have been talking about London, Ontario.Quote:

I could probably give a ride for one or two people on that first weekend to either xtal or alpy. If alpy I could probably pick one or two people up in seattle but if xtal I would be coming from the south sound.
i can give rides/guiding to all takers in the seatown area. not sure of my w/b status. but any and all are welcome for a z- tour.
Here's my schedule:
Pick up 2 mags Thursday 3/2, drag them off to Cascappalachia to eat and snooze.
Friday 3/3: ski somewhere. Maybe even Stevens with z-bo. It depends on snow. Then back home.
I won't be skiing Saturday or Sunday. On Saturday, 2 maggots will need a ride and guide. Saturday night, at least one more maggot is coming in and I can point them somewhere fro Sunday, but it would also be really cool to have a guide for them.
Monday-Wednesday, I'll be ensconsed up at Crustal.
Thursday, I'll be settling the fam back into the home digs and doing daddy dooty unless Ma Highmen really steps up.
Friday, I'm planning on rolling up to W/BC and skiing Sat. Not sure if I'll drive or catch a ride.
Hey bdog - or anyone else providing rides.....Quote:

We'll provide you food and gas money, etc. We already have a place to stay.
Edit: what she said in the post above.... I need to learn to read, then post!
Also, a mutual friend and I could sure use a ride from Whistler to the Seattle airport on Sunday, March 12th. Our flight is at 7:30pm.
For several reasons which no one cares about except me I won't be going to Crystal on Tuesday. I still have two 2fer1 coupons though for Tuesdays at Crystal. PM me with an address and I can mail them to whoever wants them.
I will be going to Baker Sat Sun Monday (4th 5th 6th) from Bellingham if anyone is here and wants to share a ride. I will be driving up to Whistler after midnight Monday from Bellingham with room for riders.
I'll be driving back to Bellingham Friday for a gig that night. If I don't ski Friday and someone is desparate for a ride to Seattle that day I might be persuaded as long as I can get back to Anacortes by 7 or so.
i need a ride to whistler on the evening of the 6th. i am staying with The AD ( a couple blocks from I-5, very close to haller lake in seattle) the evening of the 3rd thru the morning of the 6th, then i am on the curb till i get to whistler. also, i am looking to share rides to resorts on the 4th, 5th, and 6th. if possible i'd like to check out stevens, crystal and baker for a day each, but i'll ride with whomever to wherever. willing to buy beer/gas etc.Quote:

I don't have a place lined up yet, do your friends have room for another weirdo from the internet for that night at least? I understand that may be asking too much but I figured I'd ask anyway.
Let me know if any of this works for you.
not sure yet.. details in pmQuote:

Maybe now's the time to try to get some organization. Anyone want to propose a tentative schedule for next weekend? Also, anyone who knows they'll be skiing next weekend and will have extra room in their car--post it up.
Good suggestion by AD. As a euro never been to WA I am looking for ideas as to what will be a good itinerary for the first few days of my trip. Arrive Seattle Wed afternoon this week and so far have no firm accommodation or ski plans until I move up to W/B on Sunday evening 3/5 or Monday (anyone going, I'm interested in ride sharing). So I am looking for ski action in WA on Thursday, Friday, Sat and Sunday, and possibly Monday too.
Since I don't know the area, probably looking for mostly inbounds but would consider out of bounds accessible w/o skins - have all the avvy gear, just not the skins/bindings.
Any suggestions for a trip that would involve seeing 2-3 of the best resorts that WA has to offer, and any offers of rides to one of the resorts from Seattle either Thursday morning or Wed pm?
Just starting to lay out my gear prior to packing and getting the last of the washing done....
I'll have a full sled headed up to Crystal Friday, 3/3. Hook up early in line if you can.
I'm thinking there's more people that need rides than spaces in vehicles to offer.
Would anyone want to go in on a car rental for sunday to sunday?
Also, anyone want to share a hotel room in seattle on monday and tuesday (maybe sunday night as well)?
Here's what's proposed for the pre-summit around Seattle:
0) Friday 3/3 - Crustal. Sommelier: Buster
1) Saturday 3/4 - Stevens. Sommelier:z-bo
2) Sunday 3/5 - Alpental. Sommelier:squirrel99.
Subject to change, additions, deletions, excretions, short sheet tions.
up and down/shmerham - just trying to hire car from Wed til at least Sunday. Welcome to share it with me - will let you know details. Trying to attend all the maggot days in PNW.
Staying Crystal Wed and Thursday nights - then all is open til get to W/B.
Anyone need a ride up to Whistler from Seattle on Fri 3/10 afternoon/evening? I'll be headed up and I have space for 4 (unless you packed super-heavy).
Shmerham, Dodger and up an down: check your PMs.
