daddy mac - what the hell is happening to our Av's?
dude that game last night sucked
The season is long, and they play Vancuver again real soon like Friday, and they wont lose that one...besides they are pissed.
did you see Forsberg punch Clutier in the balls? bad timing
when are you getting out here?
Hey Frizzo we are thinking about the Bird as well, I just wanna feel SBasin out, to see who is gonna be around to show us around.
the game wasn't on around here last night. now they're 6 points back.....dammit.
i'll be in denver this weekend and i may not be able to make it to SLC this winter :(
saving what little vacation days i have for the summit. you gotta go...
I'll be there...I'm sure flyk, Meats, and GT will be mustering for another assault. I'm not sure PowMow road will be open or any of the good stuff controlled and Basin has been great about access both to the resort and to the goods.
Not totally relevant, but I'm looking to hit Alta with the crew on Sat and move on up to Snowbasin to check it out Sunday.
Hey Truth have you found a place to stay yet?
and I will be at prolly be Alta on SAT, Solitude Sunday
Chez phUnk has a room for a very good price.:D Soli sunday huh....depending on the GT40 clan that might be doable. I'll be pretty flexible and let the snow dictate. SB might be holding more snow on Sunday.
I think Gt and meats are planning on taking a day off on wed. I've been up for 6 out of the last 7 days so I was thinking about a break as well but if there is a crew headed up I'll eat some advill, drink some red bull and see what leg strengh I can muster. let me know if i'm playing tour guide.
So far, you are the tour guide...Meats can't even invoke the over twenty clause for bagging on what should be another deep day. Besides. I'll never be back at Basin again, so this is his last chance to see what a fat, slow old bastid gots left.
Lumpy, i'm out. Save coming up for the 2nd. I landed in md9's bomb hole off a 25 footer. I have huck neck bad. I would like to show a few of you around at some point but not on wen.
Meats

bump, flyk is a good tourguide too!
Well I hope we have tour guide I am 90 % sure I'm coming up
Lumpy expect a call
FlyD it would be cool to ski with you I'll confirm later tonight
Flyk said he'd nut up and play guide if we needed him too. Now thats sum love....poor guy has had to ski deep powder all week and is forced into one more day:D ! Thanks man!
Meats, sorry to hear about the neck stinger. Not sure about Friday, two stints a week at the Basin is 'bout all I can afford. I'll have to retreat to the free-cheese line at POWMOW for a few days.
as usual, I'll be around somewhere, though I've managed to miss almost all ya'll every day so far this past week...
Look for me at JP early, or if they open strawberry, I'll be heading out that way since it was closed today. Orange helmet, NKOs, and a red/white jacket. I also have a giant flashing yellow neon sign hanging around my neck that says "BACKPACK".
Today was nice, but a little heavy in places... lots of windblown. Tomorrow should be good, too.
Anyone know what all those branches and crap were over by powderhound bowl? Was there really a slide big enough to go all the way down to be level with porky face?
Yea, and if it really is a break tonight, they should start opening gates... :):):):):)
I'm thinking ahead.
Basin on Sunday. So far, Truth, Flykdog, Buzz and hopefully (probably) Twoplanker.
Who else, Backpack still in town??
Lumpy, GT, MOE????
I'll likely be up at Basin or PowMow in the next week, 2 New Yorkers and wife in tow.
Maybe this weekend!
My boots are sent off to warranty so I might be skiing. In which case, I'll see y'all in the lift line and at the end of the day :)

Backpack, I can't believe we have'nt hooked up yet, I'm still looking for you.
If you go to the basin you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to post some of the video we shot. It just keeps puking up there. It was hard to leave. When the mini rolls around there should be plenty of base for some really gnarly lines. :D
9AM at the Moose's Nutsack...MacDaddy, Mac' bud, flykdog and me...anyone else. Someone under thirty or is this a geriatric powder day?
MD nice to finally meetcha...have a safe trip home and catch you at the mini....
I'm already home. Ogden to Denver in 6.5 hours. :D
I'm about 9 years from thirty... but I don't know if that will make any difference in terms of geriatricity ;) (hey, if our president can make up words, so can I!)Quote:

I've rarely done that in the summer, let alone in friggin mid-december right after/during a big storm.
Glad you're home safe. :)
Maccy Dad,
If you's got's any sense in ya, you'll get your lazy ol' carcass up to Alta today and save the 1 hour drive for some later date.
ALTA IS GOING OFF!!!
Yup, alta IS going off... and so is every other place within an hour of SLC. Heck, even SUNDANCE got dumped on.Quote:

ALTA IS GOING OFF!!!
There will be better days at Basin (like friday, probably), but today should be pretty sweet. 4" of new since 5am, and it's still dumping.
At any rate, I'll be grabbing the moose's nutsack at 9. See ya'll 'round.
Fackers! Lumpy, if we make it up you better sack up for another day.Quote:

ALTA IS GOING OFF!!!
DAY. THEN THE JET PUSHES ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY NIGHT AND BRINGS
A STRONG COLD FRONT WITH IT. THE FRONT SHOULD MOVE THROUGH THE
ENTIRE FORECAST AREA BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
TOTAL SNOWFALL OVER THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE AREA WILL PROBABLY END
UP SIMILAR TO THE HUGE CHRISTMAS WEEKEND STORM. HOWEVER THE WATER
CONTENT IS EXPECTED TO BE SIGNIFICANTLY LESS...PERHAPS ONLY ABOUT
HALF OF THE EARLIER STORM.
HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH TO DO THIS MORNING WITH JUST THE WEATHER FOR
THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. SO LITTLE CHANGE IN THE PACKAGE BEYOND
FRIDAY WITH THIS PACKAGE EXCEPT TO LOWER THE PROBABILITIES ON
SATURDAY A BIT. [/anti jinx]
First let me start by saying....
6.5 hours to Denver....what the in the hell where you thinking boy?
Thats an average of at least 90 MPH are you crazy man. I hope you where by your self, and you didn’t expose your fine little wife to that thrill... I'm glad you are home safe.
I did Summit Park UT to CSU Fort Collins ( by the way I'm drinking a 90 shilling) in 5.5 hours in my RX7 one fall, but the roads where clear.
I saw the Boss today you are crazy :D
Now where do I start? Perhaps with a thanks to Xover on the invite up to Alta. but I could not do it, believe me when I say, I wish I was there, but I had made plans with a buddy that came out from Kentucky and we had to ride at SBasin. By the way MR nice DTM huck story. I wish I was 21 .again
Now true ;) thanks go out to FlyKdog and Lumpy for showing us around one of Utah's best little secrets, next to the 9990 lift at the Canyons.
Snow Basin Rocks.. I skied some of the best untracked pow that I have skied all season.
I cant wait to do it again.
I’m out of beer and words to describe the day maybe Lumpy in between “rounds” w/ his lady friend will log on and finish up
FlyKdog great guy, better skier, is one hell of a patient man prolly waited 10 minutes for us at the hairy mouse ball sack.
Backpack sorry we missed you
Glad you had a good time. I wish I could've been there to return the tour guide favor from all those days at the bird years ago.
Yeah, I was averaging between 90-100 most of the time. Whenever I got to a populated area I slowed down a little thinking cops might be around. I usually make it in around 7 hours. The roads were clear the entire way.
Got stuck behind those california busses in the canyon going 15-20MPH, then passed the slowest one only to get behind the others on the snowbasin road going just as slow... so I got in at around 9:15 and was on JP at 9:20... didn't see anyone at the moose so I figured ya'll had left.
That’s funny BP, because Lumpy was stuck behind all those prebubes on the Sandog busses too!!!
You facker! I had to deal with 100+ miles of a sheet of ice and 18 wheelers jack knifing left and right! I also had to travel down 130 before Elk Mountain over to HWY 14, over Cameron pass because the damn HWY was closed. Should have stayed:( . Nobody missed me over here anyways. The wife was surprised that I got home so EARLY! damnQuote:

MacDaddy, Lumpy: glad I got to tear around the mtn. with you guys. can't wait for my tour of ya'lls place's:D
Hey FlyKdog and Lumpy-
thanks for the tour. I always wanted to check out the Basin. Next time I will have that burger and beer. And now I know about this site, I'm on, and I'll be lurking so keep an eye out. Right now I'm dreaming of the day I move back to the pow. If ya'all ain't figured it yet, I'm MacD's Amigo living out East. Thanks for the patience, the traverses suck on a board, next time I might have to pull out the xXx's and two-plank it with you.
MacD, I made it home alive. Huge thanks!
Bo V
:)
Glad you made it home OK...see you back here next month for the Mini? Great cruisin 'round the Basin with you...definately a good snow day there and I'll take you up on the Shooting Star Burg and Beer! Got to get at least one board member up thee this year!
