yet another Vail TR 12-20, we know it stinks

Some how I was able to escape diaper duty today and go get some of the goodness that has been falling in the past week out at vail. Rolled through the tunnel without the issues that LB had and made it to Rasta bahn by 840, phone calls and maggot rally was made at the top of Northwoods. Evil E, Z, Blurred and myself were pumped. Ran into Glademaster's dad, who spotted 3 guys standing around on spatulas and figured that we had to be from "the message board" Evil did his good deed of the day and fixed his binding, damn loose toe piece Sollys. Ran into Glade shortly there after and took him to a nice stash, which may or may not have scared him away for the day. Our hanging with glademaster was short, but nice to run into a NJ mag this far out. Steep stuff was sluffing big time, but no fractures. When you are getting waist deep on spatulas, you know its some good shit.

We ran hard through some great stashes, tours courtesy of Evil and blurred did not disappoint and quantity was obtained :D

The camera was barely pulled out, just to take these few shots. But I assure you goodness was reaped in large helpings. People were heckeled frequently, much to my entertainment from the lift. Teenage Ninja Mutant Steeze team was sighted as well.

Sick pics guys. It was great meeting up with all of you, and thanks again for saving my dad's day(the hunt has begun for last years P10's or P12's) with the toe-wing fix.

Truthfully, it was a bit intimidating to ski with a group of guys who all rip so hard out there. Anyone who calls into question the abilities of this crew hasn't skiied with them, I've never felt as humbled in my own skiing abilities as I did on that run with you guys. They rock, and they're totally down to earth too, but it definitely made me realize that I'm 16 and from NJ and nowhere near as good a skier as I'd like to imagine.

Sorry for splitting, but I felt bad for my dad who I found noodling down the groomers off Chair 14. I couldn't let that happen while I ripped powder with the maggots, so we headed into a few spots(HomerJay knows where) and found snow that was thigh to waist deep with much less crust/surface heaviness than in other spots.

I'll have plenty of time to rip powder with the maggots in the future, but the chance to spend DEEP days ripping with my dad is something that doesn't come up as often, so I had to seize that oppourtunity. I'll write up a full TR later with some video clips of the deepness we found 3 days in a row. Thanks again to all the maggots we met out there, it was great to get a good tour and meet some great people too. :biggrin:
