it would make sense for their Marketing dept to get that out as everyone thinks we have no snow.....

soli - loop sequence thingy http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/images/slc/c...e&numFrames=10
enjoy
Just got down from LCC. Very groppley (sp) at the base but it seems to be getting better. A foot of snow would be terrific.
Yeah, I mean, a few pictures strategically placed in my email box could do a world of good... :rolleyes2
I was just getting to that sucka. Sometimes you're just too on it for me. GOSH!!Quote:

This morning was fun way fun. Barely saw anyone else. In fact, me and longduckdong had to break trail, and that was with a 7:15am departure time from the lot. Got in three runs before 9:30 up on warmup and punch bowl. Very creamy, basically bottomless turns. Graupeling like hell while we were up there too. Kind of a funky loose rounds layer beneath the snow from a couple days ago - hopefully doesn't play any tricks tomorrow.
You know it's a good sign of more snow when Bum Z, of all people, calls DTM to go touring tomorrow.
That means the snow is starting to pile up.:D
go git sum rox bitches
sounds yummy to me
I like this loop from PC. It's like you can pinpoint the exact moment winter starts. (antijinx).

welcome to utah. if you don't like the weather wait five minutes
What?!? I hope you're fucking kidding. I'm pretty sure everyone in the country says this shit...and it should probably get posted in the "phrases that must go" thread. Just a pet peeve of mine.Quote:

Totals so far:
Famington Canyon: 11" @8000'
Alta (collins snow study): 11" @9600'
Tony Grove/Monte Cristo: 14" @ ~8700'
Brighton: 10" @ 8800'
Snowbird: 9" @ 9600'
Lots of water in this storm = super dense snow. 2" of water at Alta only fluffed up to 11"...any more snow falling today/tonight will be lighter density.
Perfect. Makes for a great base, and avoids the density inversion. But it looks like it will blow around plenty, making for conservative travel tomorrow.Quote:

You're answering to gramps now? Well, you'll really feel like an old man once I get some dynafits underfoot. :biggrin:Quote:

Pffft, is that a promise? It would be nice for you to break trail once and a while, so I'll take you up on it.Quote:

I thought all you guys charged too hard to use Dynafits.
How early you leaving TH?
I need to get back for work, but if you're dawn patrolling I'd be psyched to do a quick loop.
Eh, losing 5 lbs underfoot but being labeled a sissy rando skier... (But having similiar boots and skis w/ the exact same dimensions as my current setup) I don't know, tough decision. Don't worry, you can break trail tomorrow, you've got show up the MDs anyway. :DQuote:

Gramps, taking over the shit slinging for Xover.
Seeing as he hasn't checked into this thread, if Kendall's going up for dawn patrol, could you e-mail me his phone# ? (or send him mine)? Thanks.
8 am? 50/50 I'll see you there. but TG's is looking pretty sweet! 16" at the lake! You know what that means over at Cornice!
TH, you going to the avy meeting tomorrow evening?
RB...Tony Grove and Monte are not equal comparisons:p Two totally different climatic regions. Weatherman..sheesh.
Stoy; all I said was that they both got 14" of snow... :) Besides, anything north of the Davis/Weber county line is all the same, right? ;)
Updates:
Brighton @ 9800; now up to 14"
Alta Collins is now at 12"
Snowbird is now at 12" - with 2" of water in that!
Oh, and I forgot to mention:

Bluebird tomorrow... :D ...just really, really cold!
