A friend is looking for some rockets, in new or slightly used condition, prefers w/o binders but flexible. Drop me a line and I will forward it on.
I tried to talk him out of rockets, but his mind was made up!

Unless he's a midget (or a midget's baby) I would suggest he go larger than 165 cm. I only weigh 150 lbs. I ski a 185 cm PR and can't imagine going any shorter.
He is wants them for a "Jay-Tree" ski.
I think he typicall rocks out 178 powertrac.
Thanks for the input, I will pass it on.
i 175 would ski like a 168 powertrac, and a lot more nimble.
165 is way too small , even for a little guy, in the trees.
Oh ... how I have to disagree .. I ski a 168 XXX and they
do make a GREAT woods ski ... Jay Rocks . especially on the 168's

why not de tune the tips and tails so your long ski skis shorter?
So does anyone actually know where to get a deal on 165s? A friend is searching for a pair for his wife for christmas.
Alpine Sports up by Weber State had some 165 PR demos from last year with 810ti's for around 380...looked to be in good shape. That was in November though.Quote:

thx- will pass on.
why does she want 165's?? what is she a damn midget???;)
Or a midget's baby. Don't be excluding people now. :D
My suggestion. Demo some different sizes.
^
im lookin for some 165s too, and yes i am a damn midget.
The twin tips on the PRs combined with their soft flex makes them ski 10cm shorter than their indicated length. At least get 175cm PRs. Talk to Blurrred... he can hook you up on some still in the wrapper.
Check ebay, I say a few pair of 165's just tonight. Sorry forgot to get the link.
I might be in the market for a pair of PR 175's or 185 if the price is right and they are not too badly beaten.
Sorry for the hijack.
josh at level 1 productions had new PRs a while back (check powmag board), also try sportsliquidator.com for 02 and 04 PRs, new.
Okay, here's the deal. Brand new Pocket Rockets, still in wrapper, 175 cm. $420 Shipped!!!! How are you going to pass that up?
I might not be able to pass it up except for the "".
bandit ruined that smiley forever for me. bastard....
jk ;), I don't actually want the PRs.
Blurred, I was actually hoping to pick up a used pair with binders. Thanks for the offer, it really is a good deal.
You said 420! Pretty funny an many different levels.
It must be the green guy sticker that is driving the price up. Right
Damn green guy.

crazy, im amazed how much people are selling PR's for, even on e bay,
i swear the prices have increased over the past 18 months on these things.
i got a pair for 400 with 914's i think in the fall of '02
not just the fact that people are selling high but that people actually will pay that much for a used or older ski. Especially one thats foam cored. I guess its the everyman fat ski because its so light and soft you don't have to be a 45+ day a year skier to ski it and its so fat it really helps all the 7 day a year doctor lawyer types out shredding the pow pow all day like the gnar rippers they are
I post PR's for $420 shipped, and the hecklers come out of the woodwork saying my shit is too high...
READ AGAIN. NEW IN WRAPPER.
That means NO HOLES, NOTHING.
I dare you to find a new pair cheaper ANYWHERE.
And, yes I'm sure you got a used pair for 4 bills on E-bay.
USED...:o
Never buy foam core used...
NEVER EVER BUY PR'S USED
Those things lose all their life in one season especially with fat bastards who ski them 20cm too short.
You are not talking about buying used 198cm Volkl P40s
These are blue foam noodles
I'd reccomend you take the good offer while its available
Thanks for the info. I had decided against the PR's anyway, too soft. Went with the wood core, Scratch BC's
dude i ski 189s and 198s now in the trees at jay without major issues.. sure shorter is going to turn faster.. 165 seems a bit extreme. thats practically a snowblade!
blurrd, i wasnt saying your price was high at all, its actually really cheap.
i was just amazed at the prices for this ski on e bay.
^ yeah thats what I meant to, sorry if I sounded like i was heckling you
and also, as previously stated, i dont care how tight trees are...a 165 PR is like a snowblade.
Jeesh, I was looking for these things for a friend. Just kidding around. It sure is a snowblade esq size though.
Right on fellas. Sorry about the miscommunication. These skis aren't even mine, just trying to sell them for a friend.
