Just saw the "fresh off the press" first issue of Freeride and Mr. Xover scored himself a full page photo slutting himself on the NW Coulie of Pfeifferhorn taken by Stevie Lloyd.

The issue is sweet. Considering it was thrown together by a small bunch of locals with limited to no experience in the magazine world it looks like they did a damn fine job.

FreeRide Magazine will be in stands the week of October 24th. It will be in every ski and snowboard shop from Provo to Logan, including Park City, the Salt Lake Valley, and all the resort areas. With more than 200 locations, you may also find it at your favorite coffee shop or restaurant. Best of all, FreeRide is FREE. With only 5,000 copies coming off the press, they won’t last long! So hurry to your local shop and pick up a copy.
In conjunction with the premiere issue, FreeRide is sponsoring a launch party at RumBunnies in Park City on Thursday, October 27th. Admission is FREE. Thursday night at RumBunnies is always reggae night, with a live DJ spinning your favorite Rastafarian tunes, and a wide range of drink specials. A raffle will give attendees the chance to win lift tickets to Snowbird and The Canyons. For the FreeRide launch party, RumBunnies will also open their upper location, adjacent to the Town Lift Plaza, to facilitate showing clips of local footage from this year’s ski and snowboard films. Add some fire-dancers to the mix, and you might as well call this a Pray for Snow Party!
In other FreeRide news, FreeRideMagazine.com is undergoing a major redesign, and will be launched within the next two weeks. The Utah Ski & Snowboard Event Calendar will return unchanged. New features will include an online version of the magazine, downloadable browser shortcuts, a FreeRide forum including local gear classifieds, gear reviews and online shop, and the latest news from around the Wasatch.

I believe they started distribution today in the slc area. Not sure when they'll get to logan area.

Well it is good that you guys/gals have some shots in there. There is enough talent in SLC to make it worthy. Next issuse is supposed to have more snowboarding, well see...Good first issue, nice too see something diffrent though. I hope they can pull it off.Too bad Ash Christensen's shot, air off the dome on Superior was covered up by other swag shots? Best line in there. Guess Will can't blatently run all his shots ha ha ha..oh,and nice back cover. Glad your back Willy, now GET TO WORK!!!
