well I havent skied that many but IME the 2011 red hybrid lotus 120 had a advertise radius of LOTS I think it might have been 38M
edit the 190 was 46 M I think it was the 184 that was 38M in any case I have both and they are EASY to ski
Mfree99 for certain.
I would guess the HL am100 is quite loose as well.
4frnt raven?
Black crows daemon that was reverse camber.
If wider, 182 mfree108, hl fr/r110, 4frnt hoji, the reverse camber Corvus, 4frnt devastator, billygoat 110.
Praxis Piste Jibs. Haven’t tried the MVP 94 but I bet it’s got the loose feel too.
any ski you file the shit out of
yer moms pretty loose. she slides good too.
not sub hundie though

we had a thread on rockered skis? good options on that
black crow damian. I have 3 pairs, cuz hoarding
This will be contrary to most opinions here but the HL bc ninety is a really great ski. Hiking side country laps yesterday and then returning to the lifts via skied out groomers and slushy bumps was really fun. They’re probably the loosest sub one hundred ski that I can think of. The flex pattern is dialed, bias towards tip stiffness and a forgiving tail. They’re really quiet given the weight, more so when going fast and on edge. I could see using a longer length, one ninety one, as an all mountain ski. They’re a great balance of weight and performance for me.
I bet snowblades feel pretty loose.
And yeah, I’m digging my BC[emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]’s too.
Black Crows Daemons. Mntlion knows! So will MagnificentUnicorn!

Did the mount point on the daemon change? I had an old pair that I loved (black/gold) and I currently have a new pair that are mostly white that I don’t seem to get along with

I’m at work, they were delivered today. I’m going to ski them this coming week. Part of the reason I bought them was my love of the bc ninety, Raven and reverse Corvus. Wanted a narrower reverse with a lift served build.Quote:

Not OP, but have a modifying request:
What about more traditional mounting + loosest ski?
When we think of loose, most of those skis are in the -4 to -8 range. What about -9 to -11?
2014+ ON3P Wrenegade? I’ve always found them to be incredibly stable at speed but loose and easy to pivot around in tight space. Their “charger” rep held from <2013, but the ski got a lot easier to handle as it evolved. Early data point but they are similarly “loose” to the HL AM100.
Let’s not move the goalposts about what’s loose. Any ski with camber won’t be as loose as full reverse
Looseness is a function of either short effective edge or a soft or easy releasing tail.On trad mounts this is more about the detune.
The recommended mount on the bc ninety is minus ten, I ski mine at minus eight. I’ve changed my stance and no longer like constantly driving into the cuffs. There are probably a lot of skis that you could mount more traditionally and get a pretty loose feel with a tune.
MU- No doubt re. Reverse - but there are skis that are an exception to this (e.g. M-Free is remarkably loose but with a legit amount of camber). Additionally, A major detune certainly loosens things up, but it also deletes edge-grip.
I ask because after years of skiing traditional skis (Raceroom Legend Pros, Explosives, etc.) my mounts have been creeping forward - m-free / Enforcer 104 / FR110 / Renegade / etc.
I skied some Mindbenders with a -9.5 mount and I'm not gonna lie - it felt pretty good to be a bit further back. Short of just mounting something rearward of recommended, what else is out there?
Having owned both mFree one oh eight and the reverse Corvus both in the longest length, the Corvus was significantly looser than the mFree ever with relatively zero taper, way longer effective edge and a flat tail. I’m sold on reverse unless it’s firm groomers.
MVP 108 is the loosest ski I’ve been on in a while but still has edge hold when you want. Ravens as well but I wouldn’t consider them playful
lots of loose skis over a hundie under foot, I'm mostly interested in the skinny slarve
? I think Ravens are really playful but you have to go pretty fast, they’re fine noodling around getting to the goods too.Quote:

I know, I was just saying. I’m going to get out on the daemons tomorrow or Wednesday.
The bc ninety is the loosest sub hundred ski I’ve been on
Daemons are the loosest ski that I’ve been on. More so than the reverse Corvus by a lot. Like the Corvus the published turn radius is longer than it says. Soothski has the Corvus at twenty six meters and the Daemon feels similar, maybe a touch longer. You can roll your ankles and drive and they rail. Drift and slash at will, zero hookiness. They’re really similar to the Raven and bc Ninety but with beef.
Looking forward to more three dimensional snow.
Looks to me like forthcoming Volkl Revolt 101 might be loose. Just depends if they keep it as low camber and thin core underfoot as most of the other skis they make.
I can't say I agree with this. It is nowhere near as loose as my M-Free 118s or Ravens.
To the point where after a period where I only skied the 118s/ravens, I felt like I forgot how to ski when I got back on the MVP 108. It was tricky snow conditions, but it took a few runs to remember that you have to do more than just "think about" releasing the tails.
The MVPs aren't locked in feeling like a less playful ski, but the tails still take some work to break free. Maybe I could force them to be more loose with some aggressive detuning but that's not really what I want them for.
The ravens obviously do it with full rocker, but the 118s actually have quite a lot of camber and stiffness yet still break loose easy.
At one point I owned the 189 Menace Proto 118 and 193/187 OG MVP and skied them back to back a handful of times and I thought they were similarly loose the way I had them set up, both aggressively detuned from the rocker points and not all that sharp overall.
Both skis felt like ~7-8/10 on my personal Schmearyness rating, with skis like a Volkl One being ~9 and Praxis PBs being 10/10.
Mfree ninety nine for me

what’s the point of a super loose/reverse camber sub hundred ski?

Fun? Skiing is fun right?
What’s the point of a ski over a hundred waist with camber? Fun. Different strokes for….
Well the big cambered skis can rail turns on edge in shit snow which nothing else really can. I guess I don’t really understand what a sub-hundred full rocker can really do uniquely. Most fun on soft but even snow?

wide open, but chalky, firmish terrain, that is steep, and limited/no bumps.
I find it amazing for skiing lake louise area.
The Daemon is nearly as floaty as a Corvus, better edge hold, lower swing weight and looser. My bc ninety is light, lightning quick, surprisingly floaty and has better edge grip than anything over a hundred. Plus they’re really fun.
I was railing turns through crud and soft bumps yesterday on Daemons, earlier I was on r one tens. Didn’t notice much difference except the Daemons were quicker and lighter.
Modern ski design has improved narrower skis too.
