So cast, shift, or Duke pt. No walk mode eh
Interesting. No fourth buckle, weird cable thing on instep buckle.

we didn't know how good we had it when kryptons and lupos were on the shelves.
Natty Flex
Probably just the angle of the pics but that toe looks fucked up
And if you were worried about the cables breaking on BOA's do we have a treat for you
My one question is are the cuff and lower clog bolted at the spine or are those screws just for the forward lean adjuster? If actually bolted together, it is basically constructed like the Head Hammer with a fancy heel buckle system… Which of all the cabrio boots I’ve tried, the Hammer flexed least like a cabrio.
It's like the bastard child of a 3 way between Dalbello Full Tilt and Atomic
Looks like someone caught wind of the links going live too soon. Now it goes dead.
search boot on the site click all (27) click the link about the introduction to the boot and you’ll get everything.

i still have no idea what natty flex or powershift are. looks like a forward lean adjustment.
are they saying that by adjusting the forward lean you can tweak the point at which the shin engages the tongue and that alters the stiffness?
Loads of boot claim it changes the flex but it’s not true. It changes the feel of the boot and the way the cuff and lower shell interact but it can’t change the flex. The flex comes from the shell/cuff material and liner, taking a bolt out won’t change those things.
ya know what? im doing a lot of hatin but in the end i appreciate that someone is introducing a new 3 piece since dalbello decided to fuck up a good thing.
Love the now two options between this and K2 Cascade. Tech toe, no walk mode.
I wonder if that cable flexes.
So far the K2 double Boa and a booster has my attention. Super curious to hear more about this boot.
Yeah, I got so frustrated with the lack of adjustable forward flex in my ski touring boots that I D.I.Y.'d the hell outta my venerable Dynafit Vulcans and lived with the glory of skiing in the holy grail of ski boot feel for a few seasons....before the d.i.y.'d to hell extreme mod finally simply wore out, lol. Looking back, it's hard to believe the magic sauce came in the form of a few small chunks of $6 dog ball rubber. Can't understand why manufacturers can't build a better mousetrap....the ability to go from locked out factory stiff when needed, to plush, long stroke super progressive and damped forward flex in deep pow and other 3D snow was such a game changer. One of the big surprises was it seemed that all the flex force was refocused from the shell to the flex/damper mechansim and it almost eliminated any bulging of the scaffo and thusly seemed to provide a more consistent lower boot fit and more precise edge engagement in turns, fwiw.
Ignorance is bliss. I think that's where I'm at because I am so glad I'm an old-school RS skier with an Intuition Pro Tongue and a Booster that I see these new bells and whistles and I'm like-- Oh, cool... progress.
Everyone else is bitching about how shitty it is.
I remember a solid twenty years ago a fellow comrade was bitching because his sponsor sent him new boots that he "had to wear." He was like -- Jesus Christ, I just got these ones to fit.
That's how I feel now. It's like losing your phone and having to get a new one. Jesus fucking christ.. The last thing I want at this age, and consistency, and stability is a new fucking boot.
So when you chaps chime in about how shitty these new releases are, I kinda soak in it. "Yeah, maybe I'm good for another round of nuance."
Hey stealie, if you’re unhappy with the new dalbello cabrio, you should give the Roxa Element a try or the Rthree for a hybrid. The last is probably better than the Krypton or Lupo. Great performance and a little lighter.

I ski a completely stock boot (Hawx Ultra XTD and RS) Heat mold the liner, drop in my footbed and go. I do change their strap out for a booster because I prefer it inside the cuff. I will say it's a fairly new revelation coming from Lange's that needed some work.
I even use Atomic's liners over Zip Fits.
I used to hate buying new boots. I'd love to try a cabrio, but why fuck with such a good thing?
