Who ya got? Who do you like? What are you thinking? Hoping to see progress from the Hoyas in Ed Cooley's second year, but they have a ways to go yet. Beyond that, I got pretty much nothin' but it's a long ways 'til March.

Looking for a return to form for X this season.
Preparing for another year in the post-Bob Huggins wilderness...

Bobby Avila aka Cream Abdul-Jabbar or Milk Chamberlain.
heels go into allen tonight. jalen washington needs to step tf up against dickinson. rj needs to shoot lights out. i hope to be pleasantly surprised but expectations are low.
UConn Huskies. :the_finge Coming at you with expectations and a fire in their eyes.
The kind that only back-to-back national champions can possess.
Only one starter returning from last years squad, Alex Karaban, but Samson Johnson
and Hassan Diarra were integral off the bench last year.
Look for sophomore Solo Ball to have a breakout year now that Stephon Castle has
moved on to the NBA along with Tristan Newton, Cam Spencer and Donovan Clingan.
Freshman Liam McNeely looks to light it up and have an immediate impact while
transfers Aidan Mahaney and Tarris Reed Jr. will provide additional support.
Jayden Ross is currently out with a bad ankle but look for a big year for him too
after he played his way into the rotation at the end of last season.
Round out the roster with Jaylin Stewart and freshmen Isaiah Abraham and Ahmed Nowell
and the Huskies should have plenty of fire power to run Dan Hurley's high powered offense.
The only downside that I can see with all of this talent is minutes may be hard to come by.
Threepeat here we come ! Go UConn ! Go Huskeys !
heels showed a lot tonight. expected them to get run off the court and it looked like they would going in and out of the half. hell of a game.
bruce pearl's boys already in midseason form.

some damn good ball tonight.
Indiana has talent, but looked pretty underwhelming last night. I hope they get it figured out before they play a decent team.
My Bonnies looking pretty good at 5-0 with The WOJ at GM.
maui underway. very glad to see it back in lahaina. just wish bill was with us on the call. hopefully they do some sort of tribute to him.
hurley is fucking unhinged. peak comedy but also kinda distrubing.
Wasn't able to watch the game.
Probably a good thing for me.
That's what happens when you schedule #350 teams
and then go play someone good.
Hopefully they'll get it figured out before the end of January.
EDIT: Just reviewed the stats.
Memphis shot the ball better - 55% vs 49% and had 40 free throws vs 24.
Last year UConn was the most efficient team on offense and a top defensive team.
Not so much this year.
goddamn the heels are gonna give me a fucking aneurysm. down 21 in the second half but they pull it out. looks like our best big man is a fucking 6'3" playing the 2. jesus christ.
Big win for the Mountaineers! Javon Small and Tucker Devries providing some hope in another rebuilding year
Hell of a lot better than Cory Alexander.

Bill was awesome.
I was watching Kansas-Duke in the Terry's Chocolate Vegas Showdown and thinking that those were the two least chocolate teams ever and wondering who Terry was and if it could be Terry Bradshaw and how weird that would be, and then they ran a commercial for Terry's Chocolate, which I had never heard of, but which was sponsoring the thing. Mystery solved.
I had a peak experience at the Kentucky vs. Gonzaga Battle for Seattle last night. A friend invited me (basically told me I had no choice). He said it was going to be a decent seat that included food and drinks but cost $500. Ended up we were in a luxury sweet and walked out to the court and our seats were on the third row. The game was epic and my team won by 1 point in overtime. I'm still grinning ear to ear!
Just got back from an incredible game at MSG.

This how games should be.
That was a great game. My Bonnies pretty much manhandled Providence yesterday, right up until the end when they let them back in the game.
10-1. Best start for our club since '69.

Enjoyed watching my Wildcats (also 10-1) beat our rival Louisville yesterday, followed by that great Gonzaga-Connecticut game. UCONN really seems to have figured it out after their rough start. Didn't get to watch Auburn yesterday but they are going to be a tough out.
Auburn is rough. Tennessee too. I can't believe how good the SEC is now at basketball too. I would really like to know what that is about. They were always football and baseball only. Never really in the conversation in the past.
There's just so many insane athletes in that bottom right corner of the country and lots of them hoop.
Hoyas beating Syracuse was pretty nice.
NIL $$$ Big teams buy who they want.
Go Volzzzzzz.
Yeah, I was kinda joking. It is pretty ridiculous. Why not just finish this and create a true NBA minor league so real student athletes can play?
My school, thankfully, had a major NBA insider as an alumnus that just so happened to burn out at the right time. Lots of small schools are totally screwed.

From the article-
Ready with money, and with opportunity, St. Bonaventure can’t go dollar for dollar with most schools. But Woj’s presence, the Bonnies hope, can close the gap. His deep network of NBA coaches, agents and front office executives offers players a bridge to the next level. “Those are relationships that I couldn’t build or we couldn’t build as a staff in the next 30 years,” Schmidt says. “He’s going to be able to help us get in the door with guys because of who he is and the trust he has built over his career.”
Fucking heels fucking suck man. Bunch of fucking pussies. Fuck Hubert and that fucking limp dick coaching staff. Fuck Bubba Cunningham and the boosters who won’t pony the fuck up.

^^^they are…terrible shot/ only down by two. Then don’t box out….same old crap.
Hard to be a heels guy lately.
Georgetown looking much better this year so far. Cooley's second year and they're looking legit. 3-1 in conference including a tough loss at #7 Marquettte in an old-timey Big East matchup in Milwaukee last night, which they lead most of the way until some late-game heroics by Marquette and suddenly ice-cold shooting late doomed them. The freshman Sorber looks really good.
X lost their best player for the season and have made a mad dash to .500 taking the L from Pitino’s squad last night in a half filled house thanks to a blizzard.
Even then, it was a battle between two great coaches and teams. Big East basketball is still the king (yeah I know the SEC is looking good too).
man i thought miller had those dudes firing on all cylinders when i saw them against uconn a few weeks back. who got hurt? i thought freemantle just came back?
You’re not wrong. They’ve got OT and single digit losses to top 10 teams and seemingly show up most nights but are just that much behind the better teams.
And you’re right about Freemantle who is a stud and I’m glad he’s back but I was talking about the guy that should have taken most of his minutes in transfer Lassina Traore.
X stays hot as of late in the Big East taking down Georgetown at home to break a 4 way tie to be the final Big East team in. Gotta keep it up if they want a chance to make the dance.
