RIP Johnny Hockey. Gaudreau and his brother Matt were biking in Jersey and got killed by a drunk trying to pass 2 cars (in their direction). They both were going to be groomsmen at a wedding tomorrow. Fucking devastating. I was lucky enough to see many a game where he shined in Cowtown during my 6 years there. That kid could play, and dispelled every naysayer that said he was too small for the game. Possibly the most exciting player to watch that the Flames ever had. You know I've always been a bit afraid of road biking (drivers are idiots, and these days have so many distractions), this makes me question considering any long pavement rides evah. Give me a single track any day.

I'll be at the Utah vs Chicago game tomorrow and I'm pretty damn excited for many reasons. Anyone else have season tickets here in Utah?
I'm rooting for my home team Chicago tomorrow, but for all the preseason Utah games I've been strangely drawn to rooting for Utah and I don't know who I am anymore.
What section? A couple of my friends went to a preseason game with obstructed view of one goal and as long time hardcore NHL fans they surprisingly said they didn't care as much as they thought they would. I took this on "The Patio" a few hours before the game last night. When you're seated you can't see the goal nor about 15 feet in front of it. I guess it depends on how much that would affect your enjoyment of the game. The atmosphere there last night was pretty electric.

Agreed, Muted. Looks like your seats are just a few sections over from us (129). Sight lines weren't horrible, but tough when the puck was in the near boards. Hopefully they get a few things fixed. Weird placement of the penalty clock (and not running it half the time) and the dead pixel on that side of the video board was pretty distracting.

Where was the penalty clock?!?! I was looking for it, ha.
You probably saw they showed the players who were out on the ice on the video board. If one got a penalty, they would put the time up beside their number. But they didn't always do it, like during the Durzi scuffle in the 2nd period, so you couldn't always see who got what.Quote:
