Oilers FA moving and shaking has taken the sting out of the Game 7 loss.
Now if they can just not fuck it up by hiring Stan Bowman.
Preds making moves.
Thank you for including both years of the season in the title.
Bruins let half the fucking team go. Jesus.

Kid is going to BC for the next two years… hope he pans out. As someone wise once said: “wait and see what happens when beer and woman are introduced.”

The great Oiler offseason came to a screeching halt with the hiring of Shitstain Bowman.
RIP Johnny Hockey. Gaudreau and his brother Matt were biking in Jersey and got killed by a drunk trying to pass 2 cars (in their direction). They both were going to be groomsmen at a wedding tomorrow. Fucking devastating. I was lucky enough to see many a game where he shined in Cowtown during my 6 years there. That kid could play, and dispelled every naysayer that said he was too small for the game. Possibly the most exciting player to watch that the Flames ever had. You know I've always been a bit afraid of road biking (drivers are idiots, and these days have so many distractions), this makes me question considering any long pavement rides evah. Give me a single track any day.
Horrible news. Johnny and his brother were cousins of my college roommate of 4 years.

Rip for sure....devastating. doing less road and more gravel lately.
Horrible.
Supposedly, the car behind them moved to the left to give them space, and the car behind that one tried to pass the first car on the right. WTF.
It was an hour after sunset, road biking is scary. No idea if they had lights or not.
Reminiscent of American moto racing legend Nicky Hayden #69 RIP.
goddam.
that's from espn's articleQuote:
The driver, Sean Higgins, 43, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and has been charged with two counts of death by auto, along with reckless driving, possession of an open container and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Higgins told police that he had five or six beers before the crash and had tried to go around the SUV on the right side after thinking the other vehicle was trying to block him from passing. He told police his drinking contributed to "his impatience and reckless driving." Higgins failed a field sobriety test, according to the affidavit.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
Bye felicia
(To clarify that comment was meant for the asshole driving and admitting guilt and failing the sobriety test)
Fuck. Been out of town and just read about this. Fuck. RIP Johnny hockey.
Fuck. Fuck.

I'll be at the Utah vs Chicago game tomorrow and I'm pretty damn excited for many reasons. Anyone else have season tickets here in Utah?
I'm rooting for my home team Chicago tomorrow, but for all the preseason Utah games I've been strangely drawn to rooting for Utah and I don't know who I am anymore.
What section? A couple of my friends went to a preseason game with obstructed view of one goal and as long time hardcore NHL fans they surprisingly said they didn't care as much as they thought they would. You know, maybe first time butterflies watching in SLC and all that. Two of the periods they could see the attack goal though. They were in 137.
We have a bunch of tickets, but we didn't end up with the Chicago game. Our seats are front row upper deck center ice. My first game is 10/24 vs Avalanche. Let's go UTAH! Up 2-0!!!!!!
I took this on "The Patio" a few hours before the game last night. When you're seated you can't see the goal nor about 15 feet in front of it. I guess it depends on how much that would affect your enjoyment of the game. The atmosphere there last night was pretty electric.

I'm jealous. I wanted to be there.
Missed this. Was a great time for us, win or lose!

Chicago looked absolutely terrible.... Best line from the commentator, "good news is that Chicago drew another penalty, the bad news is their going back on the power play."
Cool seeing hockey from Utah though!
Agreed, Muted. Looks like your seats are just a few sections over from us (129). Sight lines weren't horrible, but tough when the puck was in the near boards. Hopefully they get a few things fixed. Weird placement of the penalty clock (and not running it half the time) and the dead pixel on that side of the video board was pretty distracting.
Cool seeing Mess before the game.

Where was the penalty clock?!?! I was looking for it, ha.
You probably saw they showed the players who were out on the ice on the video board. If one got a penalty, they would put the time up beside their number. But they didn't always do it, like during the Durzi scuffle in the 2nd period, so you couldn't always see who got what.
"Tampa Bay Lightning" is sounding unfortunate right now. At least they're not the Surge. I'd suggest something not weather related.
Lol irony or the NHL/ Biden Kamala weather control machine missed the date by a few days....
Hurricanes at Tampa Bay today

Too soon?
