I love this time of year in the NBA.
They need Tillman as long as they have KP and Big Al. They need to develop him. And that's the issue. They have amassed so much talent that at some point they can't afford it, so some of the talent will leave. Unless they can win a whole bunch of rings like the Warriors. That gets people to stay. Well, maybe it wasn't discussed by GSW internally at the time, but his name as a possible trade candidate has been discussed by pundits for the last year or two (since everyone knew he wanted an extension and they didn't want to pay him).
