You went to Dead Co. last night? Sweetbippy was there. It looked like an Illuminati mind control project from the videos she sent

I wish, a buddy of mine did. The pictures and a few videos he shared were mind blowing. Tripping ballz at the Dead is a hell of a ride but this is a whole nother level.
I part that would bother me? Being inside. I don’t like being closed in on psychs.
Of course I typo’d the original post. They’re, not we’re. Projection on my part maybe haha.
Yeah, I don’t like being around people that much when I’m tripping

Two of my friends were there, but I haven't heard from them yet. I've only seen the real Dead a few times indoors and always preferred the outdoor venues. They wanted me to join them but I couldn't because of travel. I honestly don't have a huge desire to see them and especially inside anyway. This venue seems interesting but it would need to be the right genre of music for me to go and I'm not even sure what that would be.
Like the Flaming Lips playing live their Dark Side of the Moon cover album

Yeah, something more couch locked feeling to enjoy the light show trippyness while listening. Dead wants to make me move and experience the people around you in the same mind set. Was never about the theatrics. It was about the sound and scene for me.
The words ‘Dead’ and ‘Theatrics’ are a funny combo, unless you are referencing Bill Graham on NYE, or possibly the Chinese new Years shows in S.F.
Ran into my buddy last night at Twilight that was at all four nights of Phish at the sphere. I think he's still recovering.
Have you ever been ‘ExSpherienced’?
LSD-Atrics!
I snuck my camera in. More to come.
And we have lift off.

It was a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by good people again.

Fuck yeah Rev!!
Mars, 4 nights straight?!? Wow boy.
I'm going to state it was pretty damned fun. Hadn't seen them since 1998, and that was the only non Jerry show, so I was really skeptical. And had I seen a GD show with last night's setlist, I would not have made it out alive.
Alas, it is not the Grateful Dead.
But it's like a reunion of sorts, with traditions and people and an energy that's still present. Mickey and the gang were having a blast, Bob looked pretty ambivalent and butchered a few things but largely, it was good music.
And the most painful part? Mayer rips. I said it.

Watching his fingers play that guitar is an amazing live experience. He’s fuckin good.
Wife and I talking tonight about it. It’s not the same. But it’s a reunion of sorts like you said. A really fun one still.
Your daughter will be telling her friends and colleagues how her first experience seeing the Dead was at the Sphere with her dad. She’ll always remember this. Good job Rev. Priceless memories for all.
Well shit…I was taking my daughter on 5/31 until I was informed she had finals the next week! So…if anyone wants two in the lower 300s for 5/31, (I have three but I think I’m still going), let me know.

I wonder if the sphere novelty will wear off eventually or not? So far it seems a success. I know I will be there in the next year or so to check it out.
To save time, start at 3:00. Pretty cool what they can do there.

I wonder how many clips of different visuals they have. Will it be on repeat by night 10?
The Mrs. and I are going to LV in mid-June. She is giving me a tough time about going to the concert. Not sure how I will handle this
Send her off for a spa day or whatever she wants to do. You do the concert. Boom. Problem solved.

On the surface that is not a bad idea, but all the R&R acquired during her spa treatment would probably be lost immediately upon seeing me after the concert. I would be experiencing the effects of being exSpherienced, and the Mrs. would be surfing in much calmer waters.
Als, what will be, will be. We'll see
Yeah! Let’s do it!
I’m at the fountainblue place. There’s a crew of 14 of us going. Most are my old Dead buddies and few wives thrown into the mix. The rest of em felt they needed to be on the floor. Not sure why at that place but I’m solo for the show…if you know of anyone around town that wants to go.
What is it about the sound that is so incredible? The acoustics or the immersion?

After Thing 1 and 2’s introduction last summer for the Gorge shows, we are heading back for Round 2 mid June with the same crew. Can’t wait…. Thing 2 found one of my old T’s….

Mmm, so it’s the immersion, like studio headphones
Sent from my iPhone using TGR Forums
the sound is incredible. There's 167k speakers behind it. That's like 9 speakers per a person that they can directionally aim have different mixes, "move" the sound etc.
I've never heard it clearer.
In the 300-400's (maybe 200's too) they put the bass lines in the seat, like haptic movement.
