Nice! Had a light dusting on the deck at the abode this morning. Bring it Ullr! Brrriiinnnnggg it!
AC - I shot that last year. Hopefully it portends what's on the way.
I confirmed with Bachy that this is a temporary snow stake while a new one is being finished.
hmmm...I expected a little Tap-photomagic, but not time travel!
disappointed, how can i vicariously live through others closer to the hill if not through current photos?
I have been stoked for the season to get here for months now. While it's not even Halloween yet, love to see things headed in the right direction!!!
Let’s go snow!!
I figured it was an older photo, no way it was taken on 7” over dirt

Why so meteorologically incorrect?

Tell me that picture was actually taken anywhere in Oregon.
That temporary snow stake and the organization responsible is being cyber bullied over on Reddit /bend.
Please change the title to El Niño (strongest since 2014) - all the schralpmaccio references may remain.
No one posting Hoodoo’s report of 15”?

It’s all fun and games until October snow makes January avalanches, even in Orygun! Keep this storm layer in mind later in the season if poking out onto alpine terrain!

sweet. what a difference a few days in fall can make.
Got some early season Cardio in at the local hill. Stayed off the Cone. Looked a bit spicy.

Yeah, the webcams showed it pretty thin on the parking lot side of le cone. More snow than I expected on leeway though. Thank you for compacting the base
Anyone want to talk maze changes on the new MHX? I wonder how they are going to handle it? Looks like the skate from the west side to the east side of the maze to get a shorter line is dead. Which honestly, I'm fine with.

i'm hoping they set up like Pine Marten
but who knows at this point?
will this impending atmospheric river do anything for our snowpack?
with a storm track out of the SE, it seems unlikely
thanks for your service taking one for the team!
I think they're taking the RFID gates off the old 4 gate, and putting them on the new 6 gate. I hoped they would have updated they're RFID gates, they suck, always breaking.
For the love of Dog, make the maze on just one side
A 90* carpet load should be interesting
Don’t hold up the PM lift maze as some pinnacle of engineering achievement.
If you’re on the far right of a maze line, there’s barely enough room to get your 185cm skis out of line and into the load alley.
Once you get into the loading alley, it’s a tight fit for four with all of the skis sticking out of the maze lines.
Then there’s that 180* turn before the scanner, where the guy on the far left has to step-turn and drag his bases across the inside fence supports, and the guy on the far right has to get around his three chairmates without dinging his bases on the outside fence supports.
