Wow, bye bye PAC 12? I thought the Big12 would fold first.
Nope. Welcome back, Buffs!
Utes, we are keeping a seat warm for ya! Buzz and I need our Mountaineers fix. I know they will be coming to Provo, but I hear tailgating is non-existent (no surprise there).
My buddies kid was a QB on WV roster the past 2 years…transferred to Idaho St. Coach at Idaho St. told him he wants to pass 60+ times a game…lol.
Thanks to a redshirt and a Covid year…he still has 2 years of eligibility left…he’s old/ played junior hockey out of HS…so he’ll be like 27 years old when his college eligibility is done..lol (Old School old).
My prediction?
Someone on the preseason top 20 wins the National Championship.
Funny how that works..
He isn’t the first old QB in college. I’m pretty sure Mike moschetti turned 25 his senior season at CU because he played AAA baseball out of high school for a few years.
I don’t think Primetime will be at CU long term but I’m still pumped! Fuck em up, Fuck em up, GO CU!!

Harbaugh 4 game suspension is just wild (and I'm and OSU fan). NCAA is nuts.
Also, NCAA has to clean up the transfer portal rules. It's not good for college sports to have a constant free agency portal. So much for "student-athlete" if they can't get this fixed.
College Football is so much more than NFL because of the of the unique school & fan traditions (which includes alumni athletes in every way possible).
All CU needs now is more hookers!
GO BLUE!
Someone buy the NCAA a cheeseburger.
Do Oregon and Washington:
A) stay put in the PAC 9
B) move to the Big 10
C) move to the Big 12
D) None of the above
*Every discussion/rumor I've read has them paired in any scenario which makes sense on several fronts.

If the trend is towards bigger conferences then the Big 10 will have the best competition but I don’t know if they can get better TV deals with the Big 12.

Pfft, BYU players are usually 1-2 years older than players on other teams due to the missionary work requirement..
PAC-4? After Utah and the AZ schools skeedaddle to the Big-12.
Been saying all along that FOUR power conferences sure makes a playoff bracket easier.
It's pretty sad. A century of rivalries and history down the drain.

As an Oregon fan I’m happy they found a landing spot. But I just hate what’s happened to cfb. The playoff and the nationalization of cfb has completely ruined the sport. I’m going to miss playing all the PAC schools. I really feel for the beavers and the cougs. If they stop playing the civil war then I’ll stop watching any college football. Fuck ESPN and FOX!
Fuck that's stupid. No more Apple Cup or Civil War? What a bullshit way for over a 100 years of tradition to end. NCAA football is getting more and more pathetic.
PAC12 and BIG 12 should have just merged in to one conference.. PIG 20 with PAC and BIG divisions.. It all started with Big East dissolving, WV going to Big 12,etc..
PAC schools going to the B1G makes no sense.. At least OK and TX are geographically close to the main SEC schools
I'm bummed, but Oregon State and Wazzu in the Mountain West is probably a more logical fit these days. not to be harsh.
Was it you, me, and a few others who went to the Civil War circa 1997 and had D-cell batteries thrown at us in Corvalis?
All shit talking aside, I hope we can continue the rivalries (civil war, or platypus bowl or whatever it's called now, and the Apple Cup).
It's going to be absurd seeing Oregon and Washington play the likes of Iowa, Indiana, Northwestern and Rutgers "interleague"...although, selfishly I'm just glad we're not in the Beaves or the Cougs shoes. What the hell do they do...Mountain West is seriously where they might end up. One guy I work with claims they're going to the ACC and they're going to poach Notre Dame. Funny guy.
The PAC-4 participation, I mean championship trophy cycling between cal, Stanford, beavers and cougs
Pretty ironic after all the bitching by coaches and universities about the transfer portal. I’d put teams moving around as a lot more detrimental than players free movement.
An interesting dynamic will be the absence of "don't go to Oregon or Washington because they're in an inferior conference." In some ways this will be fun to watch unfold. But yeah, these are broad strokes and seem pretty permanent.
And while I don't know what the divisions or schedule will look like, the Ducks schedule hypothetically could include UW, USC, Michigan, O State, Penn State, Wisconsin--all regular season. That makes a typical SEC schedule look like Division 3 ball.

This whole thing fucking sucks. College football can go fuck itself.
College sports as a whole will implode in the next 5-10 years where schools start eliminating a bunch of non revenue sports. Only thing left will be football, basketball and enough women's sports to offset the scholarship count of football to meet tital 9 requirements. Travel costs associated for non revenue teams/sports will cause serious financial issues rather quickly.
There’s 2-4 dozen college football programs that make money, man. Most teams don’t make money, and will exit the small bracket of the young nfl and probball prep, rejoining the place where sports aren’t that expensive. There’s lots going to shake out because college is shaking out, but I don’t think everything going to disappear especially women’s sports because more women go to college than men now - they were 58% of undergrad enrollment in 2021
Confusing now with a 2nd PAC thread but let's tally up how many post WW2 Nattys the upcoming Big12/15 teams have combined.. I count ONE.
As I said in the Pac12 thread, CFB will become a shitty minor league for the NFL. How about using all this money being thrown at schools and fucking solve the homeless crisis in the US?
