Everybody wants me to use a phone maze or call center in India or some drama.
I have United for insurance.
I just want somebody to make this easy.
No strippers, homeless people with hatchets or nazi midgets were harmed/involved.
Now days its the zombie doctors which are in vogue
ski bro hadn't been to see a doc for years, didnt have a doctor, so when started getting dizzy/ chest pains it was easier for him cuz he was a doctor

I don’t think there’s any magic fix with vertigo. Look up the Epley Maneuver, and there are variations on that. Either the maneuvers work or they don’t. Try to keep your head level and don’t do stuff that brings it on. Mine cleared up eventually, no idea what caused it. Maneuvers didn’t help. The doc gave me some things to try but ultimately it was about avoidance and time.

It seems like its not Meniere's disease but I wanted somebody to make sure.
I know this is more of a dentist place but I thought I would see if somebody else had it too.
I get a lead on somebody that is good and they aren't taking people.

I believe Cruiser lives down that way. Thought skaredshtles did too but he's posted with nothing helpful.
Dizzy bats! My college ultimate team used to challenge other teams to dizzy bat races. We had a ringer on our team, a guy who was 5'2" who for some reason could combat the effects of the spinning and would always win (maybe being lower to the ground helps?).

My ex-wife and former father in law both have dealt with vertigo over the years (maybe hereditary?) and they both found that smoking a little weed seemed to help. Seems counterintuitive, I know, just throwing it out there.

Yep - I'm in SW Littleton. But I quite literally have nothing helpful. I go to Columbine Family Practice for a yearly physical, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Too bad you didnt have a stroke.
I had a stroke in late Oct ( also didnt die) and now I have a lot of doctors. They just keep scheduling follow up appointments...
Seriously though ( although my stroke was serious as fk!) you should have the attending Dr from the ER's name, and any specialist you saw on any and all bills. Go to one of them

Having had a bout of serious vertigo from a displaced calcium crystal in my ear (BPPV), I will say that the Epley maneuver is as close to magic as anything gets in medicine - if it works.
When it happened, getting up was completely out of the question and even laying flat on my back resulted in the most intense spins, way worse than anything substance-induced I had ever experienced. I was stuck in fetal position for a few hours seriously wondering what I was going to do. Doctor buddy took me through the motions 3 or 4 times while I was moaning like a freshly resurrected zombie and poof, everything back to normal. Witchcraft for sure.

Yeah, poorly worded. Should have said no quick fix if Epley doesn’t work. I wanted it to, bad enough that I made things worse and made myself sick. I’m jealous.
There’s a specific flavor of Dramamine that helps. Doesn’t make it go away, but takes you from crippling nausea to really dizzy.

total witchcraft.
when I first got BPPV, I was on crutches for a broken leg. I remember crawling to my back door to let my dog out because I could not crutch over there without tumbling. The Eppley thing worked wonders.
I got vertigo a few years later, and Eppley didn't work, but the PT who had training in this gave me some "exercises" that did cure it over a short period of time.

Meclizine, I feel like it slows me down a lot.

meclizine worked for me, sort of, in that the dizziness was reduced, but I was also useless on it, super sleepy and still dizzy, so I couldn't brain at all.

Yep, I get labyrinthitis periodically. It sucks. Meclizine makes it manageable when I get it. If it's the same thing as mine, careful around too much salt.

Try Zofran as well
I have Meniere’s. Get a couple of attacks per year, almost like clockwork.
It sucks. I carry Zofran and meclizine in every pack and jacket pocket.
Yeah it slows you down. So is being 90 min out on an MTB ride and have an attack
See an ENT. My (ex)GP kept telling me I had BPPV until I went to ENT on my own.

A bout of vertigo is a good indication…
Mine ruled out BPPV immediately
FWIW my episodes start with tinnitus in left ear, and pressure just keeps building until I get a free trip on the tilt-a-whirl ride

Is it ear, nose or throat related? ENT. Vertigo is inner ear stuff generally if it's not blood pressure related.

+17 on Epley and seeing a physical therapist. My wife has battled vertigo for nearly 20 years with general doctors not being able to help. I was in PT after I grenaded my knee last year and saw my PT doing the Epley on another patient. Next time I saw the patient I asked if it worked (I was very skeptical). The dude said it really fixed his vertigo. I told the wife about this magic and she went and saw the same PT. Miraculously, it did work. She has to do exercises every now and then but she is 95% better.
We are way south in C Springs, but if you want to make the drive, I have a PT I would recommend to do the Epley magic.

lots of cholesterol and heart meds make you have to take dick pills
diet healthy weight and exercise will do the same thing pills do
unless they are oxy then I'm all over that shit

It’s not the meds that make you need viagra. A healthy diet only goes so far when it comes to hyperlipidemia, hypertension and heart health. Some people will struggle to keep those things under control even with diet, exercise and healthy weight as they age.
