Coming to a school near you, sooner or later...
As a dad with 2 elementary school age kids, this hits hard.

I've been watching this for a while now and yeah, I can imagine what you're feeling because Newtown happened just a few minutes from my house. I'm not an emotional person and I've had that same lump in my throat for a half hour now :(
And nothing will change. Poor kids.
In a few days, it will be forgotten and nothing will happen. A significant portion of Americans are willing to accept this.

Small town, too. Only about 16,000 pop. This is going to impact every person in that town.

Let's take this another step. Let's turn EVERY public building, park, and place of business in to one with metal detectors and armed guards ensuring NOBODY gets to bring their gun anywhere. They can leave it at home or leave it in a locker at the range. Anyone not an on duty LEO caught with a gun, any gun outside of those situations goes away for a very LOOOOOONG time.Quote:

Why exactly do the NRA and GOP resist registering firearms and requiring training and licensing users, you know exactly like we do with those other deadly machines called automobiles.
Will it prevent every incident - nope just like it doesn’t prevent some people getting behind the wheel but i sure think it’d help.
