I ran malwarebytes and it came up empty. Thought my phone may have caught the herp.

Thanks - I'm seeing this as well on an android tablet using chrome. Doesn't seem to happen on my PC.
Getting the same shit on my android phone. Nothing on the laptop.

I did some googling on “spam redirect safari iphone”. One of the suggestions was to install an ad blocker. For some reason the ad blocker I was previously using was not on my phone anymore. So I installed a new one, and so far the problem has disappeared.
do you guys have any examples of the websites you have been redirected to when this happens? (or any you’ll admit to 🤣)
Saw PG mention alibaba but not sure if a joke or not.
Also feel free to pm but trying to get some examples for tgr devs so they can fix.

The sites I was redirected didn’t include alibaba. I don’t recall the specific site names but they all wanted me to click on something, which I refused to do. I just closed the window instead.
If I feel adventurous, I might disable the ad blocker to get more details, but don’t have the energy right now.

I’ve had two redirects since enabling the ad blocker, so that obviously wasn’t a complete cure, although it does seem like the redirects are less often than before it was enabled.
Killer deal for free downloads on some movies about this guy who skis on a snowboard that comes apart in two pieces, though, so that's kinda nice at least.Quote:

I only get them when opening the site from a quick link on my google homepage or from saved bookmarks.
Once it opens clean and I am in, I can navigate the forum and it doesn't pop back up
I disabled the ad blocker, since it didn’t appear to fix the problem, and it does seem like the redirects are happening at about the same rate as with ad blocker on.
Like heckacali, I get the redirects only when I use a bookmark to access the site, but not when I’m navigating around inside the site. And it doesn’t happen every time I use the bookmark, either. Not sure of the frequency, may 50% of the time or less, I’m guessing.
Also, I was getting a steady dose of yifimovies.cam, but lately it has switched to iptracker.info.
It appears that I can just use the back arrow to get back to the page the bookmark was supposed to take me to. Not sure if it was always like that and I just didn’t notice before, or if that’s a recent change.

Pretty much summarizes my experience over past couple of weeks. Only happens on my iPhone 12, not on my 2019 iPad. It’s a pain in the ass…I can back arrow out of it, and have always been able to do that, but at some point I may accidentally click on something on the spam page while holding the phone.Quote:
