Time to resurrect this thread: I rented a place at the Rundle Ridge Chalets last season (about $620/month, if anyone is still looking for the price). This season, though, I would like to stay in Banff within walking distance of the bars/restaurants/etc. Optimist that I am, I actually hope that I might find a basement suite (something with a kitchen) to rent for the season (Dec-Apr). As far as the "need to reside" law goes, is the intent met by having someone who works in Banff live in the house? In other words, is the law being broken if someone who lives and works in Banff rents a room to an outsider like me?
