Gettin drunk faster by SNorting it?

So while on my vacation along the jersey shores this past week a bro of mine who i grew up with told me that you can get drunk faster and easier by snorting hard alcohol. Now before you all think i snorted some cheap stuff i didnt. now way jose. i was very hesitatn in what my boy told me but he said you can get druink and actually feel a different kind of drunkendeness from snorting vodka, gin, rum, etc.

i dont know to believe him or not. after researching this it seems like alchohol enters your system by the blood stream, so snorting it will only speed up the process but not change in how you get drunk. doing shots is just fine with me, just as long as it does the trick. :) :D anyone ever try to snort alcohol? maybee if i was completely wasted off my rocker I would try it. but who knows.

my friend snorted vodka... he did not enjoy it.

thats what i would figure funkendrenchman. i cant even imagine snorting water, let alone alchohol. i thinks it would burn quite a bit. so what is the fastest way? beer bombs? power hour? jet stream? century club?

It works really well. You know you're doing it right when you start getting a heavy feeling in your lungs, and your breathing becomes labored. But push on through for the ultimate high.

i dont think i would ever shoot up some advil into my nose. OUCH! I remember in high school some of the guys in study hall would crush up and snort up rittalin pills for the fun of it. Boy where they wired. i tried that once on a dare and got completely out of whack.

I was drunk (normal consumption method) and it was a perscription IB pill. Plus, I was in Spain and everyone knows bad decisions don't count in other countries. There was a thread a while ago about an alcohol inhilation system that was supposed to get you drunk by the absorbtion of evaporated alcohol via your lungs. It didn't get a very good response.

The point of sniffing powdered drugs up one's nose is to put the drug on the membrane at the back of your nasal passage, which blood flows past and goes directly to your brain. I don't think the booze would necessarily stick to that membrane (it being a liquid) and the risk of it going into your lungs would not be worth it (lungs don't like liquid too much, even cold utah smoke.)

Plus, why mess with something that works so well already?

If you're worried about the pain of snorting it, you could always go to one of those places where they give a coffee colonic but instead of coffee you could ask them to use vodka. Or even Kaluha if you wanna keep it coffee-related.

thats a good point pacrimrider. i did a quick search and found my boys idea of snorting vodka no good. you are right in that liquid will bypass the membranes of the nasal passage and go directly to the lungs in which it will more than likely cause a drowning effect which will in turn probably mess you up some good. its almost like drowning i guess. like i said before, im not going to mess with it. i like it the way i drink it, and thats in shots and vodka sours. screaming mimmies if i am in the mood :cool: :D

i heard you can get hella faded if you put gasoline in your bong water

so i called Tim up and asked him for some more details about what he told me the other night. i mentioned to him about the medical advice i got online and he said its all not true. Tim said you need to take small micro hits of the liquor up the nose, as opposed to large shot-like drinks we are normally accustomed too. he said the best way is to tip over a shot glass and pour just enough vodka on the small dimple so it is even plain. Then he said you should get about two snorts out of it and to be careful not to inhale the whole thing. he says practice will make the experiecne a little easier. '

he also mentioned something about the alcohol being very cold. Told me not to store it in the freezer but keep it room tempertature. he said that room temperature will absorb quicker and will be less painful.

Jsut snort your vodlka from a tea spoon. Sure the first, maybee even your seccon snort is gonna hurt a little. But from then you are too drunk to care. I thought it was just a university kids way of getting drunk realy quick, realy cheap.....works much better over 10,000 ft ;)

You can snort alcohol but it burns the inside of your nose and has a tendencey to make your nose bleed.

I have heard from the Scandies that pouring vodka on the rocks of the sauna is a great way to get utterly trashed almost instantly - you inhale the alcohol and it goes almost straight into your blood. Go easy with it though - you can badly get fucked up (like dead) if you don't know how much to put on. If you don't have a sauna you can use one of those steam inhaler jobbies people use for clearing their sinuses.

If you really want to snort alcohol:

Kamikaze Tequila Slammer
Lick the salt
Snort the tequila
Squirt the lemon in you eye.

The ladies will be soooo impressed.

You can inhale booze at a safer level if you take a glass with a shot in it, place your hand over the top and shake it. You then lift your hand off the top just enough to allow you to knock back the short then IMMEDIATELY (no catching your breath) inhale all the fumes from the glass. Make sure you breathe in deeply and fully. Cointreau is quite good for this. I remember a friend slumped in the corner after about 3 of those, muttering "it's better than heroin" :tongue:

I was just about to say that the best way to inhale alcohol is to pour it on the stones in the stove at sauna. The best way to do this is to open a bottle of Vodka, stomp the cork (so you can't close it anymore, oh and don't do it bare footed), go inside the sauna have a sip, give your friend a sip aswell, after everyone has had their share give one to the stove, repeat until complitely hammered...
