We have had a ton of time on the Z90's which is more hard snow biased but still a extremely versatile ski.
^ Flexon Phil beat me to it.
He didn't blatantly promote the related content on his own website, so I will. Some good stuff on his website. :)
He wrote stuff like: "HDT, it works. The Renoun has an on-snow feel that is not achieved anywhere else." Support his website, read more at https://www.pugski.com/threads/when-...mium-ski.7586/
...and feel free search for more at https://www.google.com/search?q=reno...e%3Apugski.com

A big thanks to Phil, Pugski and Cyrus for turning me onto and setting me up with the Renoun Z90s.
I'm loving my Z90s for firm snow and laying down carves....and lots of them quickly. They are super turny and grip very well. I have never had a pair of skis this fun. If you wait long enough in the turn, you can feel the tips engage even more and tighter. They are highly versatile and I I'm glad I went with the 90s versus their narrower carvers.
You have to pay attention and not be lazy in bumps and variable snows, though they plow through crud and chop very well as long as you stay on them. Don't get in the back seat. For bumps, you can get thrown around, so carving off the tops or around bumps has been the call. They are OK in deeper snow but the narrow waist doesn't provide enough float for my fat ass. I expect their all mountains would be fun for bumps, chop and deeper snows.
What they have around 100-105 underfoot?

They also had a 104 for a while, and I've seen that they're working on something even wider.

E 98 & 104s
Wicked fun rides. 184cm.
How interesting. Anyone compare with a well known TGR popular ski?

PBJ, Kartel 98, black crows camox, line supernatural, the skinny DPS wailer, maybe some of the kastle skiis around there

Ok- compared to the Line/DPS/Kastle, the E98s are softer by hand flexing & are more supple at slower speeds. They do cross under turns & bumps/trees much better. They are also more center mounted & have less swing weight. They ski more 2 footed.
Once up to speed, the eat terrain for breakfast.
They lack the top end, outside ski loaded SuperG capacity.
For 3 dimensional snow, they are butter & more surfy.... they make skiing shit 2D stuff less crap, but they don’t compare to the MX98/89 on a cold icy slope
Renouns also butter pretty damn well & let ya do old man switch like a teen.
Sounds like you love them. And...they sound a little too good to be true.
Skiid the On3p wren 98?

98s are mounted on the line & are the trees/steeps/early season go to ; they are smoother w a semi cap sidewall
104s are mounting back, have a stiffer flex & vertical sidewall - mid season ski; these were the pair Cyrus entered in the “woman’s category” @ SIA & are stamped “this is a Man’s only ski...” also on tail; hence the pink custom graphics.
Either would be a one ski daily driver. I do appreciate em- the HyperDamping does exactly what they claim. While there are a lot of great skis out, these are special as they have a huge sweet spot & are able to vary the turn shape so while being just as strong in any shapes turn.
I’ve not skied the Wren or any ON3P, but they look sweet & I would like to.
So do you have to be careful not to drill in the gel pockets when mounting bindings?

Is that what the patented tech is? Can someone explain this voodoo

Here you can see where the strips are.

I love mine. They are my go-to for just normal ripping around the mountain. My biggest qualm is that I think the bases aren't up to something like an ON3P standard. They don't take hits very well...I've had to fill 3 coreshots already this year.

It could be that...OR it could be that compared to my other skis that have more days on them and survived worse, these are a bit fragile.
wow, those are great looking skis (albeit way too center mounted for my old school tastes). Designed by Mirror Pond sipping hippy millennials by the looks of the vid so that mount makes sense.
Those "HDT" strips are interesting. I'd like to know what the soft material Dynastar is running strips of inside their new skis is like relative to that stuff but it appears that although the materials clearly differ (at least the marketing does) the intent is the same. The Dstar stuff is obviously not a gel, but I wonder how dense/rubbery it is.

Your second pic/video has a broken link fyi.
I would like to see a slomo video of a ski before the HDT is implemented and After it is implemented in the same model of ski just to show difference in chatter and such. Not really to convince me but just out of curiosity.
Make money. Buy toys.
It worked for me and now doesn't. There is a step to allow flash, too. Here's the url: https://vimeo.com/136447286
The mount points have been a topic of discussion between Cyrus and us. We have been moving the mount points significantly back from where he originally had them, both on the Z and Endurance collections.
She flies in Sunday, 4/15. Boston monday. maybe Tuesday night
To target an older demographic?

On mine I felt like they were skis that weren't able to be driven via the tips at all, but required a good centered stance and lots of balance for them to then rip. I don't have any demo bindings on them, but I can only assume it'd make them feel more aggressive by moving back.
We prefer "experienced". Actually everyone who has skied the Z skis with the bindings back preferred the way they skied. Having a demo binding on the Endurances we had the opportunity to play with different points and with the rocker profile the mount points back, testers older..and younger preferred the points back.
Well, not quite everyone ....... but I blame the freeheel bindings;)
Ok, who's a blister member and can summarize JE's sentiments on the Renouns in a couple sentences? His teaser seems to indicate they completely blew him away.
As an aside, I will never understand why JE doesn't go to a $19.95 full access annual membership fee and get everyone who skis subscribing rather than so very many fewer for $59.95. Would it make him too wealthy? Am I too cheap? I bet he'd get 15 (conservatively) signed up for $20 over every one for $60.
As a heads up, I heard from Renoun regarding next year’s options:
“....our line-up is now Z-Line. (77mm & 90mm waist), Endurance (98mm waist) and the new carbon Citadel (106mm).”

Have you listened to today’s gear30 podcast blister does? They go into a lot more detail about the Endurance 98

Thanks for the link. (The podcast with Cyrus I stumbled onto was interesting too.)
Sounds like the 184 length Endurance was too much ski for the reviewer, eh? Or was it Telluride? :D
Yesterday, the conditions at Telluride were firm, spring crust to icy, underneath a nice cold snow that built to boot top powder and more in places from wind blown infill. The 180 Z90s were fun all around with all the variable conditions, except when nailing hard bumps on sun side aspects, under the powder. In softer bumps on northerly aspects or shaded areas, you can 'work and finesse the bumps' OK, but can get thrown if you hit abrupt sides directly. Listening to the podcasts, I keep thinking the Endurances would still be too stiff up front at times when hitting bumps.
