shitty, how bad? I did my Tib and Fib spiral. out for 4 months+. three of it in a chair loosing muscle like crazy.
Hope you heal up quickly. Did you do it while riding?
Upper fibula, which is worse than lower, in two spots, but not displaced. ER Doc doesn't think it needs surgery.
I kinda slipped and put weight on it last night. I hope I didn't fuck it up, but it has a plaster cast split thing on now, and I managed to ride my bike out of galby and drive to the er without displacing it, so.

no way. Mine was at Galby too!! what irony. except i needed a plate and 6 screws you can see where I broke the Tib on the very bottom off at the point by the heel ..... Hope you heal fast!
That sucks. I broke mine in March. Heal up soon!

It was dumb. I went to pop off this little root drop thing that I would roll without thinking twice but i have been trying to drop all the little things to get confidence and timing dialed. I think I was late. I went over bars and some how my frame and or crank snapped my ankle.. like opposite forces like snapping a stick. I knew it was broke.
I have gone over bars a zillion times with nothing more than scrapes and bruises. I like scrapes and bruises.
That sucks. Best to ya during your recovery

Which brings up a pet peeve of mine. You go to the ER with a broken something, they put a splint on it and you get an appointment with an ortho days later. You don't need an ER for that--a Boy Scout will do. Orthopedists are the real prima donnas of the medical world--suck it up and come into the ER to see your patient like everyone else. Maybe it won't make a difference medically but it's an extra visit for the patient, the anxiety of not knowing what's going to happen, extra days off work and play.
I think this hurts way more than it should. Pain pills aren't working that great and they only gave me 15

That's why I went to the urgent Care at the ortho clinic. It saved me time and money but I did have to wait a few hours until the clinic opened (broke my leg around 1pm the clinic didn't open until 5)Quote:

Hang in there. The first week can really suck. My leg hurt so friggin bad that first week but at least they gave you pain pills so that's a plus. They just told me to take Tylenol and that shit didn't take the edge off at all.Quote:
