August 2017 Total Eclipse
There will be a total solar eclipse next August (8/21/17) that will pass over the United States. Here's a link showing the path of totality: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEgoogl...21Tgoogle.html
Probably lots of good places to view it from, but what stuck out to me right away is that Jackson, WY is right in the path. So the question is who's going to host the TGR viewing party? :)
Here's another link with lots of info about it: http://cs.astronomy.com/asy/b/astron...r-eclipse.aspx

Article from last wks local paper about the prep for it. Sounds like things are pretty booked and they are expecting an additional 40k people in town for it. Damn!

I'd host a party but also thinking of being on top of one of the peaks for this depending on weather. We sit on our roof a lot for star gazing though so could probably support a decent # of mags

Exactly what I was just gonna post- gonna airbnb it and pay my mortgage for the month.
Think i'll get that set up now. I also have a sweet ladder set up in my courtyard to access roof too but may need waivers for that [emoji6]
$999 for anvil is insane!
