What kinda riding you do? I'm not to into XC riding, but could be persuaded to tag along.
pretty much XC only....i love tough/fast/technical downhills, but i suck at climbing up that shit, gettin better though i think...
what you into?
I'm game to ride pretty much any day after work. I guess I qualify as a XC guy - I'm not too rad and don't wear armor. Work at Denver West, and can be at any of the local spots by 5:30. Holler if you want to ride sometime.
im not the least bit rad on the bike...name the trail, lets do it...
I'm more into DH and dirt jumping, but really want to get in shape for next ski season so would be willing to try a few XC rides with you guys. Let me know.
OK. How about Apex tomorrow, lower parking lot, at 5:30? Too rad? Not rad enough? Good mix of climbs and technical descending. Art can teach us how to wheelie drop.
mmmmkay....
Apex lower, is that the heritage square lower lot??
is i remember correctly, that climb maaay give me some trouble on the way up, not sure...
No can do tomorrow. I'm waiting on a seat post and brake cable right now. Next week I'd be willing to give Apex a try. Not sure if I'm in shape for it yet, but worth a shot. By lower lot do you mean heritage squre?
Yep, lower lot of Heritage Square. Pull in through the Heritage Square arch thing, hang a right and cross the lot of broken pavement. There's an embankment between the upper and lower lots.
Parts of the climb up the front side are a bitch. If you're into a different spot, I'm fine with it. Totally up to you.
nope thats fine....technical climbs give me trouble, but ill get up...
Green subie, teton, smith, etc. stickers on the back....seeya at 530
Roger that. Silver WRX wagon. See you then.
Catch you next time Art.
my night schedule is all f'd up this week, plus all the visitors in town. I'll be game next week. But i did do a sweet ride out towards pine on saturday. 22 miles, money!!!
nice!!Quote:

hmmmm think I should try it with no front brake and a bald rear tire? Apex isn't too gnarly so I'm thinking I might give it a shot. Red jeep w/thule box if I make it, if not next week for sure.
In Boulder and have a killer ride I do out by Estes Park. Sick and narl the whole way up and down. Only about 10-12 miles, but feels like 20 something. If anyone is interested let me know. I can only ride it on the weekends, but worth it.
Edit: Mainly been dirtjumping, but would like to do more XC.
Doing Green Mountain on Wednesday with a newbie Mountain Biker.
I'm always down for big XC rides! Can do rides in / around Boulder afterwork (White, Hall, Walker, etc) and will travel most anywhere on the wknds.
Crinkle - I was in the Buff Creek area on Sat also. Great conditions down there right now. You have the DEEPPOW plates?
I am all about the White ranch rides. No i don't have those plates. were you the guy wearing the CU jersey with another guy and a girl? I was with 2 others, a guy riding a Palamino and a guy on a Sofa King singlespeed.Quote:

Not a CU jersey - I was sportin a Texas A&M jersery that day :D riding a Palamino though.... sometimes fun to get out the A&M wear in CU country.
Anybody got riding plans for Mem. Wknd? Maybe something in BV would be rideable? Fruita?
I was in Fruita last Thurs-Friday. Good lord it was hot. :FIREdevilQuote:

Who's ridding this weekend? Where? and When?
I could go to lake arbor and do some dirt jumping this weekend. Anyone in?
i will be riding urban thursday after work (6pm) around campus...
I can't do much with urban, but could give it a go. What campus are we talkin here?
cu-boulder
i'll be riding tomorrow afternoon for shizzle if no rain. White ranch probably in the neighborhood of 430pm
Damn - can't quite make it there in time. However just in case - what are you riding these days?
i ride a jamis dakar, but due to weather restrictions it looks like evil thunderstorms will ruin todays ride, mother nature stinks sometimes
anyone up for tommorow(tuesday)?
Leaving the office any minute...
Gonna go to Hall for a quick lap - be there about 4:30 if anybody else can make it. Red Chevy Colorado & a Klien.
Had a great ride at Hall today. Not too crowded, not too hot, blasted it pretty dam fast and followed it up with a nice steak on the grill!
how about friday day? White ranch
I think I'm headed to White ranch on sat. but it's more to find a good beginner ride for a school trip. We're lookin for something around 6-8 miles and easy to moderate with few steep hills. We're in Golden. any recs? thanks
I would but pretty sure the weather is gonna SUCK bad (again). I'll keep my eyes on the sky and here just in case...Quote:

i would advise against white ranch as a beginner ride. Go with a loop at Green Mountain for a beginner ride. white ranch from the bottom to the very top is 1700' of climbing, you can opt out of the near the very top of belcher after 1400-1500', technical hurdles here and there on certain trails. Unless your students are into suffering, i would take them to Green mtn. Another good one is Lair of the Bear. check http://www.co.jefferson.co.us/ext/dp...ac/leadpg2.htmQuote:

Can't do noon tomorrow. I have to head into work a bit early. I did some of white ranch today and had a blast so would definately like to head back sometime this weekend or next week.
ahhh white ranch is cool ive ridden that, a bitch for the climbs but some fun downhilling.
looks like ill either be skiing or getting my car fixed. next time, technical climbing is my downfall anyways..
