That was the pipe invitational you were just watching.
You are so cool. Can I be your friend?

So, the "invitational" is a wildcard to get into the 'masters' event. Guys like Jamie O'brien who do not regularly compete can qualify for this contest.
Thanks... Some great rides for sure.
it's on
Sweeeet.....Hope the conditions improve.
CJ's ride was all time, especially with Kelly in the heat. Love to see him win, but will be tough.
Great coverage and loving all the camera angles.
That was ridiculous.
Parko had a nice 360 after getting barreled at backdoor.
Slater Survived to round 3
Cant wait for tomorrow. so many championship scenarios.
contest on hold till Wednesday when the swell increases
Cool, thanks.
For sure! Had/have been watching at work whilst doing work. When he took off and it clamped down on him, I looked back at what I was working on only to hear the crowd absolutely erupt a couple of seconds later and see CJ standing on his board after the doggy door ..... couldn't believe it. Absolutely insane!
Contest is on. so many title scenarios today.

looks nice now, must have been morning sickness during the warmups
Super heat on right now
John John
Mick
Kelly
Fantastic Heat. I thought Slater did better than what the judges gave him on that last ride.
Insane heat with slater, fanning and florence, "heat of the year"
Mick lost his other brother yesterday. Somehow he managed to go out and get through his heat shortly after learning about his brothers unexpected death. This is the second brother that he's lost. Nobody deserves that. Vibes. I hope he can find the strength to win the world title.
Wow thats sad. Mick has been on some crazy roller coaster ride. Losing the 2nd brother and that encounter with a shark earlier this season was scary as shit. I wonder how it effects his competitors as well.
+++++ vibes to mick +++++

Bummer for Mick. That is tough. damn.
That was a sick heat though! Pretty crazy that this was on TV last night...some CBS channel I think it was. I was traveling yesterday, so missed the live streaming early.
No disrespect to Mick, but Slater should have won that heat no question. Not that it really would have mattered as they both would have easily handled the round 5 heat. Amazing heat though. Hooting and hollering at the computer!
wow
Yeah, I was definitely scratching my head on scoring that Slater ride. So late, so deep, good barrel, length etc... lame score. Oh well.like you said.
Conditions today :(
Fanning just had a real nice ride to open his heat. 7.33? It was nice but a 7.33?
Do the judges score like they do in figure skating where they "reserve" the higher scores for the higher ranking contestants? (Which I think is bullshit by the way).
That was a buzz kill. Wave machine turned off.
Yesterday was all time. Watching today is a major let down. No waves. Congrats to Adriano. Amazing the hate online for that guy.
Dude came from complete poverty and nothing and worked his ass off and won. Kind of blows my mind how much disrespect is out there. Congrats.
Yeah, I wish they would've run the needed 7 heats on Tuesday afternoon and finished up yesterday. The outcome might have been a bit different.
Bump.
I know this is Pipe Pro, and not Pipe Masters, but holy shit. Finals day went off. Jamie Obrien with a perfect ten in the finals and doesn't even win? Unreal.

Missed the live stream because it was concurrent with the Super Bowl. Finals start at around 6:15 or so, but tons of good surfing all day in perfect pipe.
