Just took this in the New Guinea gallery at the Met.

I just saw this at the Met. It's a detail from a small room that is covered with incredibly intricate wood inlaid art works. It's was pretty amazing, and I never knew it was a thing. This was Italian, about fifteenth century. I just spent a month in Italy, and saw none of it, but, it was sort of thing for the powerful and rich at one time.

My most recent art acquisition. It's in my bathroom.

Bobby, that top one is hilarious.
This sold for 11 mill a few years ago. So many crappy mountain paintings out there, but I like this guys style.

keep clicking. I check this out maybe once or twice a year, it's been going on for a very long time and it's always different.
Frida sells for 34.9...insane really. Even if I was a billionaire, I would not spend that much money on a painting, especially when the artist (in this case obviously deceased) is not the recipient of the cash.

"Contemporary artwork has outperformed the S&P 500 by a commanding 174% over the past 25 years, according to the Citi Global Art Market chart."
Isn't art just a place to launder money?
I figured I should show up and at least say hi in here.
Who would you take with you for a midnight/day trip to The City or Roden Crater?
I would chose Benny.
Why?
Just to see what his take on Life would be after couple of gummy bears.

I've had the privilege of seeing two different Turrell pieces in my life; both were surreal and incredibly psychedelic (without any drugs). I'm on the Friends of Roden Crater email list and I'm anxiously awaiting their opening to the public.
My dad is an industry insider and knows Turrell; I asked him if there was any way he could get us into the crater early. He laughed and told me not unless we've got $5mil burning a hole in our pockets.

Crazy, huh?
Reminds me of the joke:
Why are the pyramids in Egypt?
A: cause they won’t fit inside the British Museum
