Anybody gonna head up to a Vail Resort or Loveland tommorrow? I'm gonna call off if some big snow falls. Decision will be made around 6:30 am after I check the snow report. PM me before 5pm if you want to get a ride or meet up.

I'll be hittin up one of the Flail Resorts tomorrow. Just have to see where the snow falls(hopefully it does).
where u there a week ago? awesome. like 20 inches. they were bombing in super bowl, and they got the whole damn thing to slide to the rocks.
just looked at the radar maps....looks like another story of "LCC took all the snow and colorado will get 3 inches out of a giant cloud mass"
sorry....i basically jaded myself forever by skiing a nearly empty supreme bowl right at openeing for 3 runs yesterday at alta...literally 5 people skiing it for the first 30 minutes
thats happened to me. i was at loveland, and was skiing down daves ditch, and nearly killed myself when i hit twenty rocks in a row.
Finally snowing in Breck. Snowforecast.com is calling for 8-12". Sounds a little ambitious to me(anti-jinx).
Evil E and myself may head up and do laps through Mushroom bowl all day with a finish in East Vail.Quote:

just started snowing here....looks dense up top....if it keeps up it may actually be pretty nice tomorow
I might be in.
Vail would be cool, but tough for me as a working stiff to pull off. Not unpossible though, we'll see.
Loveland much more likely, as I can ski a morning there and then either come home easily or work from the cafeteria (NEERDDDDDDDDD!!!!).
I'll know more at the end of today/eearly tomorrow am.
do u guys ski alot at loveland? do u know doug, fortune, jeff, mark, or eben?
SheRa is really good friends with Doug and Eben. I've skied with them a few times.Quote:

Vail would be nice but I would need a comp ticket.
Have we met before? Have you got spell check? ;)Quote:

It looks like we should be up at Loveland in the morning!
Look for a big guy on Gotamas with look p14s, marmot jacket either blue or Red, Black Giro 9 helmet!
Hope to see some fellow mags up there!
Dana
I can't make it up tomorrow, but my buddy and I will be climbing Mt. Bierstadt Sunday and boarding down if anyone is interested.
anyone considering MJ/WP? they're predicted to get in the area of 11-14". I'll be there on the arbor snowboard if it materializes.
Kevin
Hey K, got any cheap lift tickets, if they get hammered?Quote:

If you want to carpool up, I'm game as well.
Still have the bronchitis thing going, but may rally for a morning at Loveland. SheRa, you gonna be up there in the AM?
Darcy? The race team Darcy? I thought her knee was hurt.Quote:

Yup - but I gave my skis to Doug and they're in the shop with epoxy and clamps and all right now. I'm not even supposed to ski them until noon tomorrow. Today I was on some Karmas. So I can't do a dawn patrol, but I'll be banging on the shop door at opening.Quote:

I'd love some big fat powder turns up there.
For those that don't know me, I'm wearing north face - black pants and red poofy jacket. I have a blue boeri helmet with a bunch of stickers on it. I'm sort of tall.
Um, I don't know about Darcy's knee - I haven't skied with her since summer/fall on Jones Pass. But yeah, she race coaches at Loveland and skis tele in the bc. Really great.
adam, I don't work in the shop. I really haven't been at Loveland too many days this year so far. But it's time to head for snow above 10k, so I'll be there a lot more now. Doug and all those guys will be skiing at Loveland tomorrow too, so we'll be hooking up for sure.
Are you a yap?Quote:

I know Doug, and ski with him a little. Are you guys just gonna ski the steeps all day? Have you checked out Mr. Rock? I was there on sunday, and the landing is way sketchy. I'll try to keep up with doug if i go skiing with him :P.Quote:

I looked at Mr Rock today. Hard landing. Cornices off the ridge will be much better. And I will jump off the headwall and tomahawk down - someday I'll figure out how to nail that. But there are a lot of soft things to huck in Chicken Alley trees. Don't worry about keeping up with Doug - nobody can keep up with Doug. ;) If the winds blowing the right way, I'll want to do a run or two off chair four cause it gets so deep. But we'll probably focus on the ridge and OTR...
Kiddo, how did you find this place?
Guys - I'm gonna meet Dave (iskibc) at chair one as soon as I get my skis. He thinks the shop opens at 8:30. Hopefully I'll be over at the lift well before 9:00.
I'm missing the roll call by a day.
Any Mags skiing Loveland on Friday?
FWIW... Vail was excellent today. Not sure what Moshtittytid is going on about, but the two laps I did down East Vail were deep (tits at times). The second one was even deeper than the first. If they pull some more snow out of this storm toninght, inbounds should even be resonably respectable.
i'll be checking snow reports in the am, if it looks good I'm hoping to be at Loveland in the am. Prolly ski the first hour or two, then slink off to the cafeteria to work for a while, then maybe try to hit the last hour or so. If anyone is around mid-day, I'll be the nerd on the computer in the cafeteria. Stupid, but better than none at all though.
What else...not sure if I'll go tele or alpine, so keep an eye out for a guy with a full face helmet flailing aroound either way. :D
Wish I could do a real day, or head to Flail/E. Vail, but I have to pretend to be a working stiff some of the time.
ok, I"m going to A-Basin tomorrow. Damn the torpedos. :FIREdevil
