That is the type of trip that will make your whole winter, nice one
-
...or make your winter whole, either way you guys nailed it

Great photos! I drove by the missions in February after a recent snow fall and couldn't stop staring. Those mountains are fucking sick.
Were you in the tribal wilderness? What's the permit process like?

I'm not sure whether to hate you or myself. I'm gonna go with you. It's easier on my self esteem.
Can't believe I didn't join you guys. Knee felt fine, and I skied all week pain free. AHHH! Next time, dude. Next time.
PS. The pics are okay, I guess.

Thanks all, was a super good time indeed. To answer some questions: we accessed the range from the st Mary's lake. We purchased tribal permits from the gas station in town, $16 for the annual permit. Camp/gear was all just loaded on backs. I can throw up some more pics when I get home again.
Auvgeek, Stuart in a couple weekends?
-
my favorite mt range. Last shot of gray wolf is very nice. Looks like great conditions in the chute. Thanks for the TR.

BOOOOOOM!!!!!
drove by those mtns couple years ago and was so inspired i posted a thread asking about beta. i think the key was posted here along w/ your rad pics. they look just as badass, if not more, close-up. i am about to drive by them again next week on the way to whitefish but will have kids so no time for a missions mission....i think.......hmmmmmm
thanx for sharing!!!!!

^^that thread, along with some limited info on the internet is what sparked our interest in the area so thank you!

Ha. I might be ready to give it another shot in a couple weekends...after the memory of this weekend's failure fades.
