20K? badass, chinese downhill is a race to end all, top to bottom, no route, anything goes.
Attachment 135582
Race starts from this ridge. Pick yer poison.
Seeding runs down the shadow line far left.
26 a chinees downhill does not make
$20k will bring out some talent. Unfortunately not this talent.
Racing after 4pm could have some seriously variable conditions?
26 pros, semi pros and pro dirtbags will make a chinese downhill.
Ya, too bad they're not running the main event in the sunshine. Will most definitely be refrozen crud and moguls. Its gonna be a show.
What's the entry fee?
Entry fee is One invite from Monster.

WTF is a chinese downhill?
That's a downhill made on the cheap with slave labor, crapola parts and lead paint. Downhills used to be pretty good when they were made in America but now, all the imported downhills you can find at Walmart ain't worth a shit.
Monster really dropped the ball on my invitation.
I'm sooooo much better than all of those guys.
Lift accessed permanent closure that gets schralped hard every clear day at 4:20 (apres patrol sweep).

...... oh Jeezuz , this will be insane .
Ernest the Furnace...so hot right now
Chinese downhill ,is what NATO troops faced ....in Korean war
They should invite this guy - 4 times winner of the Derby de la Meige, Nico Anthonioz

Slightly more perspective.
my money is on Wheeler
Fuck yer boy Nico's run was insane, at 2:20 or so he almost flattened some gaper. They let people just hang out and traverse back and forth on the race course? It is Europe I guess...
I can't imagine LV being tempted into doing this for chump change when she's taking it in der poopenhausen by a billionaire.
Plus, there's only room for one number one in that home.
back in 2005 I competed in an unofficial chinese downhill in fernie,
my quest was to be the last person to slap the bar ...
and I was ...
god damn that shit was insane,
not for me,
but shit can and did get ugly for some ...
a fun as fark event,
great to see its official,
do yourself a favour and go and watch!
the finish line is always a gong show!
Jansen or Nelson me thinkz ...
jumping the start rope is not a good strategy to win but does insure a clean route.

cast that leg up and you got a club.

So, what's up w this?
No winner take all, but rather divy the dough up and the winner gets only 5k so everybody gets some free $$$ for showing up.
WTF, that is not a Chinese Downhill.
Ha, there was a chinese downhill alright. Hoping the vids surface soon. Conditions were less than optimal so rather than doing the race down the permanent closure gnar (which was naturally sluffing all week) the race went down Lizard Bowl. 2000' vert, lots of airtime, moderate carnage and everyone ended up happy.
Sick looking race , too bad they couldn't run the original course .
Fav part was at around 2:31 when Bushy dropped into the bump field . Props to Stan for winning .
I think speed suit is mandatory to win a race like this....

Where is the public on the hill?
I know of one 4500' Chinese Downhill on this Sat that is going to have a lot more than 25 people and having to deal with public
holy crap that was useless and boring.
In case anyone was wondering Stan Rey took the title again this year. The weather held out and the race went down the headwall this time. Video should be waaaay better than last years.
