yer sure late to the party this time mntlion
Global News even did a story last week on that segment...
You guys should watch the vid posted and then comment.
Damn. That gap at 3:50 was DOPE!!!
Im an idiot..sorry mntlion
That was good humor.
fuck you all, I'm so much cooler online then you guys....
One-footed cross-country ski rail-slide, nice. There is quite the lack of afterbang in x-country.
The high consequence street crossing at 4:10 is sick.
Hilarious. A well done project by these kids.
Doing anything other than slowly sliding on flat ground is fucking hard with those skis....mad props lol.
Anyone recognize\know where that was filmed?
Bwahaha. That was so well done and it is quite a testament to the original that it is popular and distinct enough to be parodied. It is a bit sad that they had to put a disclaimer stating that it was meant in jest. Are people that dumb?

How has it been 10 years since they passed?
How has it been that many years since this segment was new.
Wow. Can’t believe it’s been ten years. Still one of the best segments ever.
Sick bump stealy
I drove through that area last week and kept looking for places I recognized from this clip
That's Trail BC correct? My father grew up there. How is it these days?
Correct me where I'm wrong, but I recall this entire segment being improvised.
Photog showed up and asked JP what the plan was... Jp was like-- "I thought you had a plan." No plan. Rain. So they just created what we see. The dude on the bike was watching intently so they invited him to be in the shoot. The bus driver at the end had no idea what was going on, and you can see JP just say something like "We're shooting, can you just drive away like normal?" And the driver just rolled with it.
The backstory really serves the whole vibe to me about what the culture is all about. I love it. And so do my kids.
There is a good "Making Of" video here: https://vimeo.com/56454545
It took them days but a lot of it was improvised over time, locals/passers-by like the guy on the bike were incorporated, and the bus thing happened at just the right time near the end.
This thread used to begin with a link to a parody video, though that is long gone. RIP man.
That was pretty cool. Sad watching, both Roner and JP are gone at such a young age.
