Sunday and Monday at Kmart. Old guy in black helmet with A Basin logo up front, very dark clothes, red boots and skis.
I'm definitely not in...all the snow up there needs some more bootpacking before it's safe.
Maybe next week, maybe not until after the holidays...ugh.
i'm not hearing much of that at all.Quote:

Hitting the Loaf tommorow. Snow today and tonight with snow or mix tommorow. Conditions look to be awesome or awful or somewhere in between.
First time poster, long time lurker at powdermag. Stumbled in here a few months ago.
I'll be at the loaf all weekend. G4's, white jacket, sox hat.
Let the jonging begin.
i think cantdog told me about the loaf once. but i can't remember. is that a mountain?
nice. i too enjoy skiing in the sox hat.Quote:

there isn't much jaunty juxtaposing i don't enjoy.
I'm in for Killington both days. Somebody please radio me so I can ski w/ a maggot besides Mtn Man. Not that he stinks or anything...well, maybe he's starting to reek just a little.
;) :p

Cantdog: No River on Sunday. work, fucking work. That stupid job gives me all the free skiing I want but no time to go. I'm such a sucker.
[iceman] I am definitely not going to be skiing at Stowe tomorrow and I definitely will not meet mildbill and basom at noon and there is no chance in hell that I will call them on the cell phone [/iceman]

Hey - PM or just post the radio channel? My sis and I (or maybe just me) might be at K-Mart on Sunday... (functional word = might). If she doesn't join me (she's fence sitting) then I'll probably be there. If she does join me, then I'd give it a 20% chance of us being there...Quote:

"dial up boy"
Hi ho hi ho its off to Tremblant we go. Maybe two runs open this weekend !!!
Could be in for sunday or monday depending on the weather...supposed to go to a cocktail party saturday night so if the weather is looking shitty I might just get wicked drunk, bag sunday and go monday.
I shall be shopping at kmart. Would go up to the loaf, but unfortunately have to go see the fam in western NH, which is strangely not near the loaf. Who cares if it rains, just means less NY'ers to deal with.
This just in:
Jay Peak could recieve up to 2-3 FEET of snow by tuesday....I think my plans might change a little bit....
I'm heading to K-Mart, i think the meeting place is at the Clock in front of K-Base at 10 and the maggot channel is 3-11 if you don't make it
See you all there :the_finge
Stowe tomorrow, looking for someone with a large hawk on their shoulder and bloody pigeon entrails down the front of their mouth and jacket.
if he doesn't bring his raptor he'll have a bright bright bright orange jacket, brown pants, argyle hat. he probably won't bring the raptor as to not stain the new orange jacket with entrails just yet.
i'll be in oliveish pants, black marmot jacket, red red nordica boots.
[fingers crossed] If my ski shop catches on fire, I'll see you there [/fingers crossed]
I will be dressed in olive pants and a black jacket as well, but I will accesorize with orange smiths and black helmet.
[iceman] I definitely did not just get up here after a solid 8 hour drive. It was definite not a "wintry mix" on the ride. Connecticut drivers are definitely not horrible drivers (ha ha ha). [/iceman]
Oh - and I [iceman] will definitely not have my radio tuned to 3-11 tomorrow and Sunday. [/iceman]
And finally - I [iceman] am definitely not going to finish this last Long Trail before turning in [/iceman]

Nevermind the posts about me skiing, I spent the night up with my 6 month old who as of 8 am this morning is finally begining to sleep. Poor kid was up all night with a cough and stuffy nose, puking anything we tried to get into his system. :( Hope it snowed, all you guys go get some for me! :)
"Yeah, I'm going to need you to come in on Sunday, too."
I'm out for tomorrow. Go git some.
That sucks...On both counts.Quote:

fwiw - It's raining in Burlington & K's shrouded in mist & fog.
Jay's reporting 6-8" plus a lite rain crust this morning. If Gin checks in tonight and says it was good I'll probably be there tomorrow...
(and yes, I am a bitch)
Sorry, I'm not there. Made the call to hit it up Sunday as it looked like the better day. From the looks of things, we made the right choice. Six to eight is good, but even Jay is saying that the rain made it "not as powderific as we'd hoped." Sunday is looking better with cooler temps, more snow, less mixed, and possible open glades.
Sick and ashamed and happy (and still sporing the goldish helmet with PM stickers on the back),
d.
