I just got back from a drive through Pinkham Notch. Dumpin'.
Tomorrow morning's gonna be a goodn'.
I'm shooting for the Loaf on Friday morning (have to work at 5).
Skied Smuggs this morning. I was sweet. They got about 5 inches last night and when I left it was still puking. It is raining down in the valleys but up high it is puking. With more forcasted for tomorrow and friday.

OR
Go to Stowe and hope that it stays all snow.
Bill what are you guys doing after skiing on Sat?
Wait and see what happens the rest of today. If it stays as snow you should come to VT.Quote:

nhAlpineTurns--do you really want to drive 4 hours (or is it 5) to ski a bit of new snow on either ski trails that have been skied all day today or on zero base? have at it, hoss.
too bad sucka, I'd have some beer waiting at my place.
you were never one to try and rub it in.Quote:

That's just plain silly... Wonder if it's the rain, turned snow crap that came through here last weekend.Quote:

well i can see you're just not quite as tolerant up there in vermont as we are in massachusetts.
Vermont does have civil unions, you and Basom should move up here.
Sorry didn't amen to imply that you and Basom were anything more than friends.
It should have read: Vermont does have civil unions. You an Basom should move up here for the snow.
Just got off the phone with Stowe base lodge - it's currently raining there.
Agreed that the drive to the 'Loaf would suck, but I would also get to climb ice as well, a definite bonus.
i'm really offended by these implications. that kid is not a friend of mine.Quote:

This Basom's kind of conversation. Is he actually doing work today or is he just over in the chat room?
Not sure but Thelonius was signed in over there
Okay, the word is it snowed around 8 inches by midafternoon, and is now tapering. Slushy mix now at the base of the loaf, freezing rain in the valley.(I'm guessing/hoping it stayed all snow at midmountain) Supposed to go through the night a little bit, and they will be blowing snow on a few of the closed trails, so its supposed to stay below freezing. Plus, they are expecting an inch or two this evening. Hoping it will be good tomorrow, I'll be at the quad for first chair.
Heres what noaa has to say: TONIGHT...PRECIPITATION ENDS AS SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS. SNOW SHOWERS
TO CONTINUE MOST OF THE NIGHT IN UPSLOPE FLOW ACROSS THE HIGH
TERRAIN. STG NW GRADIENT WITH COLD AIR ADVECTION MAY CAUSE WINDS TO
BRIEFLY REACH ADVISORY CRITERIA.
damn,
thought this meant you were coming here soon.
its been as ggod as we got on our last visit and then some, and its 12-1!!
get on out here ya slacker, leave that EC crap to the big men like bill
I'll be out in a few weeks woodsy, no worries.
Cool, the Cat could use a base. I wish I had some (PTO) Powder Time Off left. If those redsox didn't cause such a bad hangover the next day. I may try to make the mission there on sat, but will most likely end up @ the Rivah.Quote:

Snowing in the valley again. That is all.
