Next thing you know you'll have visions of Gotamas dancing in your head. You'll be looking down at your 90 underfoot skis and wondering why you didn't go fatter.

fatter is better
for skis at least.... 90, what ! is that a slalom cut ?
I want to talk about gear. I've been talking about gear all day and all night all week. I haven't been talking about gear here. But I've been talking about gear. So I'm gonna talk about gear here now. The PM Gear website will launch Monday with new gear, specifically, The PM Gear Kevlar glove. So now I'm talking about gear and spam. But only the maggot website could offer it's brethren an indestructible glove for $33, shipping included, well, because charity begins at home. Its what we said we'd do and we're doing it. So I'm talking about gear.
What's the maggot gear website again? I know it's something simple...
And do you still need a password to access? If so, can you send it my way?
Sick and ashamed and happy (and so demanding),
d.
And I can always use another pair of gloves....

TwoPlanker is hauling ass getting it together right now. We sent the pack back to the factory for a minor tweak and will have it on the site as soon as we get the last fix back for testing. Right now the site still has our intentions and maggot history on it, but the store will be open Monday. Also looking at travel bags, ski bags, goggles and anything else that is priced right and good. The site will grow over the season. If anyone has an idea how to further our presence on the web, it'd be much appreciated.
mhhh, indestructable gear.....mhhhh
Don't talk to your friends or hang out on a message board cause the next thing you know you've just spent a $1000 on iggies, if it wasn't for this board I wouldn't of even known they came back, now I'm helping fuel the revolution :) Money spent on skiing is money well spent
Depends on where you do most of your skiing, I think for the majority of skiing here in Colorado the midfats work just fine since the average storm leaves about 6-8". Also, if you have just one pair of skis, something light is nice for carrying them on your back in the springtime up the chutes and quicker edge to edge too. My skis are like 100 - 75 - 90 and they work just fine in all conditions encountered here in CO so far. Don't believe all the hype!
Whatever.Quote:

Disagree, disagree, disagree.....I ski on 90mm waist boards from early season to late season and find no problem edge-to-edge. Average storm 6-8 inches!?! Sure, if you mainly ski Eldora, Jongstone, or Gaperidge all season. Loveland received 544 inches last season. I would say the majority of the storms that hit loveland were on average of 12 inches or more.Quote:

That was so last year.
um...fat skis have no real disadvantage besides moguls, but I guess I would rather ski a skinny stick in crud because it's ablsolutly no fun to just haul ass over it...no fun at all...and I guess it is better to ski the ice underneath those 8in of pow instead of floating on the soft top... you can also leave colorado to ski other places...but maybe they don't do that over at epicski huh?
Agreed, talking to friends will only get you one thing GEAR!
190CMH Volkl's Thanks Mntlion
190 Ak Rockets & 916's Thanks Skideeppow
Talked myself into new X2's and some new GS boards.
Talking to everyone hear only makes me think more about damn gear, and what I'll be doing with it before too long with any luck.
Since a lot of us are trapped in the cells of a life away from snow, gear is hope. Gear is a potential for realizing snow and skiing. But the resulting rashes are embarassing.
I agree with you about the bigger sticks, but what is it about Colorado that causes people to use these pseudonyms?Quote:

Have you ever skied there? You would know if you had. :rolleyes:Quote:

hey dude impostor,
these guys have been around alot longer than you have, show some respect.
sorry if I offended you with these resort names. I just can't see waiting in line in the parking lot of breckenridge just to get on the damn bus that takes you to the lifts. There's just a lot better places to ski in colorado, that's all. And of course this is just my opinion. I'm not one for crowds, rude out-of-towners, and resort atmospheres.Quote:

I'm not trying to be smart, It was suppose to be an insult to the resort not the quote.
what robokill is saying is something I agree with. Everyone (including me) calls resorts by pseudonyms here, it seems like. Maybe it's a bro-brah thing.
Flail, Fail, Male, Vile, Veal
Skistoned, gapestone
breckenfridge
a baseweld
the list goes on.
I personally use brekenfridge from many -10 degree mornings in the parkinglot and I call keystone "the stone" cause I'm lazy. But I don't know much
Traversa-tory
To-hell-U-ride
Whoopee Creek
etc. etc, it's all in love....
iskibc- I wasn't offended at all, I find them funny. I was just wondering what it is about Colorado that makes everyone give the resorts here funny pseudonyms.
Well, that was one topic I wanted to start, but I geuss this is a nice segway into the next.
[Thread Hijack] now that I have some Colloraggots attention, anyone want to have a mini-summit here? Maybe 2-3 days long, 1 day in East Vail, one at Loveland pass/a-basin/skistoned's new park?
yes please!Quote:

maybe the pseudonym phenomenon is attributable to the vast creativity and intelligence of the population.:p

Jonseing so damn hard right now I'm thinking of driving up on Friday night to catch the Loveland crew.
I skied a run on some Iggies today. It was a beautiful thing. 190 length was a lot for me, but they just railed the green groomage at Loveland. And the topsheet was georgeous - I could hardly keep my head up. ;)Quote:
