I'd like to see the unshopped photo.Quote:

Lanny McDonald is going to be at the summit? That's awesome!
That would work for the Utah Mini sled fest in the Uintas too.
It is on this page. You may have to hit refresh a few times to cycle to the picture.Quote:

Why does it feature a sled? Where's da bro-models?
It never occured to me that TGR may be a gay skiing forum.
Whoa. I think you guys may be going to a different summit than I am.
I'm expecting Ace or Gary to swoop in and slide right in behind that dude on the sled and wrap his arms tight around him, maybe even reach around and help him pull start it. Yikes!!
on a more serious note, me thinkin'
grand in the middle with rounded tetongravity.com (with the teton done as TGR does it) around the bottom and summit 2005 around the top
buller?
It would be cool if that guy had a big foam shocker on his hand.
Somebody did a mock up of a sticker with the grand in the middle of it back when all this was just being decided. That with the wraparound logo you've described could be the ticket. I've searched extensively for it though and I can't find it anywhere. Backpack, Xboat, someone else with a goodly amount of creative power?Quote:

I'm thinking the traditional circular summit sticker, maybe a faint JH logo in the background (although we'd probably need permission from JHMR to do that) TGR along the top, Summit 05 on the bottom, and PM in the middle? So, anyone with photo shop skills wanna try to put something together? We'll also need to find somewhere to print them...I'm pretty sure JXN isnt going to be the best place to get that done, so if anyone has any ideas let us know.
We're starting a new username for summit stuff, so keep an eye out for updated info and threads in the next few days...
I'm in agreement with this description. Red, Black, and White. If we're going to sell the stickers (which technically we're not) we would need permission to use the JH cowboy. I don't think anybody is going to care about 200 or so bootleg stickers using the logo and given out for free.Quote:

If you’re talking about the bucking horse and rider, that is actually the states logo. JHMR just has permission to use it so they can’t say nothing. I doubt the state would even notice and if they’re not being sold nobody should care.Quote:

I did the sticker design last year and still have the Illustrator file. I could update the info, change the background color and replace the mountain backdrop with the bucking horse. I need a decent image of the horse to work with though. The one above would be an OK size if it were sharp.
That'd maintain some consistency in the stickers.
XBoat did the printing.
Giddyup, bitches!
Submitted for your approval:
Gotta be red. Everything at JHMR is red.
Yep, i was thinking the same thing. Otherwise I like it. Do you think we should incorporate the traditional TGR style logo?Quote:

is it posible to put the tgr mountainscape into the PM, just in a subtle way?
http://tetongravity.com/forums/images/misc/bbtitle.gif
like this?
or is that just way too busy. probly.
Yea... it'd have to be in a different shade of red or white to blend into the scene, and there'd be way too much stuff crammed in, IMO. It's best to keep it to 2 colors to keep the printing cost down.
I like the simple red and white and black. No heli. No Teton. What would be cool is if you could shape the solid black PM like the Teton i.e. get the Teton contour on the letters PM.
Something like this only, you know, better:

Good idea gin. I wasn't crazy about the helicopter either, but when you add the peaks and a little snow, a little heli over them is cool.
That ^^, I like. Good job.

Nice! Looks good.
My two scents:
-www.powdermaggots.com across the top?
-think there's a different way to use the color so it looks less like the Canada summit from a distance? Maybe the background is black, the horse is red, the letters are white?
-If you want mountains on the letters, you might use a font without serifs - the bottom serifs make it less clear what's happening on top.
Like this (for the lettering), only better.
I like the position of the heli much better on the right center than above the P peak.Quote:

Sprite
It really, really looks like the Canada sticker. How's about red horse and heli, white background, black letters?Quote:

I personally like simplicty and the old block letters instead of serified/mountains added fonts. Also, small areas like the white 'snow' on the letters might not come out right if the stickers are screen printed, especially since it's probably 2 colors on white vinyl.
for reference, here's the BC sticker:

I like the design a lot! Nice work jibij!
I do, however, agree with backpack about the colors.

I generally agree with backpack's call for consistency. In this case, I just happen to like this design a lot, so I'm bucking the tradition a little (pun intended). It makes little difference to me which color is picked. It could affect cost if we have to do a pantone match, however.
edit: If I had to pick a favorite, it'd be the original or dark red.
