PS. Frizzle stills schools me at the dirt jumps, so I make sure to give him extra shit here.
Shit, I don't even go with me. I'm such a geek.
I want to go, just give me a few more days.
Please resume with the crickets.......
I tried to go yesterday, but some eco-terrorists got in the way. :(
Here's some pics of some of the jumps. The rider is Shawn, not a maggot yet. ;)

Saturday, bitches!
I'm finally sacking up and hitting the full rhythm section.
That drop looks much smaller in the pic than it does standing on top of it with my tail between my legs.
Is that bridge at I-Street??? If so I obviously haven't been up there recently enough.
I'm in for a post-work session anytime. Get home around 6, usually good to ride 6:30. That is until my job moves down to SLC in a couple weeks :D
oh yeah. and Frizzo--when Saturday?
sweet pics.
Yeah. Don't know how long it's been there since I've only been once, but Mr.AG hit it twice last weekend. I stood around and watched.Quote:

We might have a crew this week. phUnk, Flyk and GT expressed interest, too.
PowHo? AGs?
J-
That's what I'm talkin' about. Some of that stuff looks right down my ally.
*sigh* So many destinations, so little time.
YAAAAR!!!
Let's not forget that Deer Valley opens tommorow. DH season is in full swing. I think that Saturday and maybe Sunday will be DV for me. (might be talked into hitting I-St early on the way up......)
Do it.Quote:

You should come. But leave your 20-pound training backpack at home, ya psycho.

Is that "hahahaahah" as in, "hahahaahah. So, anyways, I'll see you guys at the jumps around 11?"Quote:

Good show by phUnk and PowHo today. They both hit the 7-footer and the bridge. phUnk went over the bars on the first bridge attempt, then sacked up and stomped it. PowHo took the bridge fast as shizzle and turned it into a nearly-10-footer-to-flat.
I pretty much felt off, ate their dust and pooned.
J-
Somebody should have known I was going too slow and stuck a stick in my spokes.
I was psyched to finally sack up and stomp it on my second try. 7 feet is kind of scary stuff.
Way to go guys. Now it is time to get your asses to Deer Valley and do the same thing at 20 mph! We're up there all day again today (we ended up getting season passes). If not, we'll hopefully see you down at I-st this week.Quote:

I'm taking bets on which part of my bike will break first from riding with Andy and you guys and doing 5+ foot drops. I'm guessing my Fox Float RL will go first. :DQuote:

This really is killing me...and to think that i can't even find anyone from the dorms to ride with me...i'm always riding solo.
i miss the utards, you guys rule.
We went to DV today and then hit the dirt jumps on the way home. Trails up at DV are in such great condition, and they're running two lifts this year so you can hit the NCS DH course, which is sweet. We bought season passes so if anyone wants to head up, we'll be there a lot!
How about next weekend?
Dumb question. Saturday and Sunday for sure (I'm out early on Sunday, gotta fly to Seattle). Don't forget Thursday night, Brewvies, the Collective.Quote:

I need to practice drops with platform pedals. It scares me not being attached to my bike!
Doubles kick you into the air and help the bike stay with you; drops are super hard tho! Gotta get back there with my clipless tho and hit all the drops. (and not do a 6-foot drop-to-nose-wheelie...YIKES)
Who's up for tomorrow evening? (Tuesday)
phUnk's and particle are gonna see who can nose-wheelie the longest off the drop, and I'm gonna see how many times I can ride up to the rhythms and poon out.
hey frizzo, it's a couple weeks away, but if you aren't at hood, and don't have a job, I'll be in town on the 5th of July with my bikes, and would be glad to gape around the jumps with ya in the AM on Monday the 5th.
No more nose wheelies for me this week.
After this weekend though, it's on.
Ow. The Rhythms at I-Street are hurty. I think I have dirt behind my eye.
Well, after a sad attempt a few weeks ago at hitting the I-Street drops with my flat pedals, I got back out w/ Frizzo and Flykdog today and brought my clipless setup.
I am soooo much more comfortable clipped in! Anyway, felt good to hit the drops. I would've taken pics of the other 2 guys airing stuff out, but...ummm...they were tired and stuff. Yeah. ;)
Ummm, errr, uhhh...looks big huh? Uhhh... (JayF left, me darth vader):

Sacking up, touching down:

Gettin' comfy, hitting a cool little hip jump. The time I hit it before this it was fine; this time I was thinking more about the photo than the landing and ate some dirt on the runout:
http://home.earthlink.net/~joshrhea/hipjump.jpg
This time the 'bridge out' didn't seem so scary after warming up on the other drop. Stomped it clean about 4 times:

A couple vid clips:

Ladder drop
I-Street is FUN! Next up: the gully step-up across from the drop :D
Sweet! I've got a photog friend who want to come and shoot some ripping bikers. Who wants in?

Particle stepped it up today. Nice job, d00der!
I hit the left jumps a couple times and cased them and wracked my nuts.
I would like to hit it sometime this week. Let me know when you guys will be around and we'll get up there.
Particle,
DH / Super D at BrianHead this coming weekend.
